Are there ODSTs in campaign?

I also thought ODSTs should have been in the 3rd mission in Halo: CE, except they weren’t around then. Are there any in campaign at all?

If they weren’t in the original, its not in now.

The campaign is EXACTLY the same as 10 years ago, just with a new graphics layer.

On-topic: Nope, ODSTs were not introduced until Halo 2, the ODSTs will only be available to help on the Firefight map ‘Installation 04’ through Anniversary’s multiplayer.

Well, in the novel The Flood they mention ODSTs. Its just that the ODST armor wasn’t designed by Bungie at the time CE came out. So they could be in CEA. Obviously only in the Anniversary mode though.

I’m curious about this as well. Hopefully someone answers.

OK, thanks. I just thought maybe they would use the ODST skin in that one level becuase the marines were technically ODSTs for story purposes in that level.

Anniversary is running the CE Engine, they haven’t added new skins for anything, just whipped on a new graphics engine with UPDATED skins.

Yeah, I know. But they modified other things (the assault rifle, for example). So a marine could have been modified into an ODST for the Anniversary graphics only.

But its not that big of a deal anyways. Gonna be great either way.

It would have been cool if they’d added them at the beginning of TaR. They just could have been a different skin that’s all.

There were ODSTs in CE and there will be in CEA, however, they aren’t wearing the standard ODST BDU.

There are NOT going to have any odst’s in the game

No ODSTs in this one even though canonically speaking, they were on Installation 04 if you read the book “The Flood” which is novelization of the first game with more details and characters :P.

Well they were on Halo during the events of CE. I doubt that they’ll be in the campaign though.

I would know know. Last time I played this game was when I was 6. All I know about the game was to kill all the monsters.
