Are there any plans on updating the interface?

As it stands, the lobby system is horrendous!

I don’t remember where, but I saw that they were going to add medals in the post game lobby. This is not a fact, might be but it’s the Internet.

Adding mute in the lobby is the #1 priority. Then I’d say allowing actual profile viewership so things like stances and emblems aren’t pointless.

Activity and quantity of party details…

Medal count in carnage report…

a complete overhaul on the ui making it a bit faster and more efficient would be hella nice as well…

Bump

It would be nice if you could merge lobbies, you know, something that Halo 2 did clear back on the original Xbox. lol. It would also be nice if somebody was talking in game chat in the pre-game before searching, it would show you who was talking in your Fireteam. There’s not even a mic icon that lights up, that is very amateurish. I would also like to mute people in the pre-game before you get into the actual game. (i.e. in Warzone:Assault & Warzone it loads everybody in while it’s loading the map & you have to put up with Kinect mics for 30+ seconds) It would also be nice to see people’s ranks & armors before the game started. I feel some of this is just asking too much though because I think 343i kept it to a “bare minimum” since everything is on dedicated servers that tend to mess up from time-to-time, so they probably wanted it to be as simple as possible.

I haven’t seen anything about it, but it is one of the worst things about the game right now. And with Reach being backwards compatible now it make it much worse. Reach had a lot of problems, but it’s UI was not of one of them. In fact, I think that Reach had the best UI in any Halo. Being able to view people just by hovering over their name is great, and if they added it to Halo 5 is an update somehow it would be awesome.

Yup. There are plans to make continuous improvements to the user interface over time. We saw the first of which last month.

343i made a decent lobby system in Halo 4, surely they can do the same in Halo 5.

If memory serves correct 343i (or Bravo) stated how they plan to improve the UI. I think one of the bulletins talked about it.

The UI needs an overhaul for sure. There are so many things that are missing it’s ridiculous. I really hope that it does happen, and soon!

I was wondering why they removed the ability to look at other players while the match is setting up like every other Halo game before this. They must have had a reason behind it; I doubt it was just oversight.
