ARE THE VEHICLES GOING TO BE GOOD?

It’s really important that Infinte has great vehicle gameplay and balance. I don’t ever want to see a 1 sticky grenade vehicle death again. I don’t want to see 1 rocket destroy my ghost. I don’t want to see 1 laser destroy my hog. We need the REVENANT back. This is so important to overall game health. The fragile vehicles of Halo CE, 2, 2A, 3, Reach, and 4 are really disheartening. The precedent of fragile vehicles is really unsatisfying from a gameplay and balance perspective.

Yeah yeah it’s not so much about the laser but the spawns. In many games the laser spawns are so easy to get and it’s so easy to just take out any vehicle. Two sides of the same coin - lasered instantly and takes forever to spawn vehicles again, so overall it means no good vehicle play

The lack of a beta really makes me question the quality of the game we’re getting.

I’ve got no problems with one shot laser and rocket kills, they are supposed to be vehicle killers. don’t care much for the homing rockets though.

I don’t care for the sticky vehicle kill but I’m fine with one laser and rocket kills I do not want small arms fire to be able to damage a vehicle a lot though

I agree the laser is otherwise useless because of its long charge time

I really don’t understand the list of “fragile” Halo vehicles as it doesn’t make any sense to include Halo 3. Halo 3 are incredibly durable to the point you can actually survive sticks depending on where it lands, at least on a fresh vehicle.

I have my problems with CE’s vehicles and I feel Halo 2’s can feel a little fragile at times, but even then Halo 2 and 3 have much better vehicles than every Halo game to come after it. Halo Reach ruined vehicle combat with the chip damage system and it has stayed ruined going into Halo 4 and 5. The chip damage system is the reason vehicles explode from a few precision weapon shots

Give me the Halo 3 vehicle system any day of the week since it actually rewards skilled drivers.

It could also be better if plasma grenades moved a little slower and didn’t guarantee a kill, along with a longer fuse to let the players get out if they react fast enough

plasmas are fine for 1 stick kill when out of vehicle but they’re too hard of a counter to vehicles, esp. the ghost in 3 and reach

I mean, if a Ghost is getting a couple kills before getting stuck then it seems pretty balanced to me. Vehicles in Halo are essentially glorified power weapons, they need to have some sort of limit or else they would just dominate.
Hell I was playing BTB on Standoff last night and there was a Warthog decimating until I landed a good stick. They had at least a frenzy.

guarantee a kill against a vehicle and all of it’s occupants. Give the plasma an EMP effect so it’s purpose is high vehicle damage and EMP effects against non-stuck personal. The frag can have the role of displacing vehicles by flipping and knocking them over causing the occupants to be thrown out. the spike grenade can function as a personal killer by using it to kill single members inside vehicles like the hog gunner or driver

I mean, The Splaser & Rocket are built for 1 thing, Anti- Ground/Air weapons, no reason for them to be more than a 1 Shot
