It feels like the servers are bad, its either low tick rate or people are getting put in to the wrong servers so they have really high ping. Lots of shots connecting after rounding a corner, lots of melees just not registering and shots not registering make the gun play just feel random sometimes. The player models stutter around while sprinting and are not even looking at you when shooting or melee. I have 40 to 60 ms usually but have been put in games with 150 to 200+ ms but its rare. All the problems still happen in the 40 to 60 ms games tho. Playing offline bots the game feels better to me so I am going to blame the servers and hope they get better ones around launch.
Yeah. I noticed this. Some of my shots feel like I am firing blanks
Yeah feels bad, I haven’t played a input based game like solo/duo ranked yet I wonder if the servers have trouble with the different specs of hardware with crossplay.
Networking is a fickle mistress and it’s only been a few days. At least for a bunch of us being on it didn’t have massive outages left and right like most games do at the start.
I’m sure they’ll make improvements in the background on top of client updates.
I do give them props for it actually working and understand it’s still “beta” but it feels bad to play in the current state.
I’ll give them leeway until the servers are up to full strength, but there is quite a bit that’s affecting gameplay. Getting shot behind cover due to frame-by-frame differences across multiple machines isn’t exactly pleasant.
This really does need to be looked at. It’s so frustrating. All I want is are fair games.
