Quick question. Are the ranks working as intended, I’m hearing tons of mixed responses.
It takes time, usually weeks, before any ranking system can really sort players properly. Don’t expect to see immediate results.
No, rank 1 players will get matched up with higher ranks still, just like before.
Bravo has already tweeted that the team is aware and they will be tweaking them soon.
idk what 343s definition of soon is, but hopefully it won’t be another 4 months.

I hope they don’t reset ranks again. I don’t have that much fun playing noobs all over again.
I’m level 10. Get straight 1s on my team. i go 20-9 and the rest of my team goes negative. Yup, right back where we started.

I doubt they would reset ranks again, probably just tighten which ranks can be matched with others. As it seems now it looked like its ± 15 ranks, or at least that’s as bad as I’ve personally seen it.
i will get matched up with team mates of ranks 1-5 against a team of 15-20s.
hopefully they will go to the ±5 of the average.
If they tighten the gap with the ranks, i hope we don’t have to wait another month.
Wait a couple of days, they’re not fully implemented yet. When they’re working properly this won’t be an issue, and you shouldn’t be seeing players who are past the 10 rank range.

I think with that range, you can figure out the rest.

H2 and H3 seemed to have a 5 buffer zone. From what it sounds like H2A, right now, has about a 15 buffer zone to speed up matchmaking. Sounds like they could easily dial it down to 10 (like you said) or maybe if its successful enough, dial it down to a 5 buffer zone. Time will tell.
