Are the new announcer voices cannon?

So with Monitors Bounty came announcer voices (I believe it was Monitors Bounty), now my question is if they are cannon. Well let’s see. Multiplayer in H5 is taking place on the War Games simulation in the Infinity so its definitely possible to add announcer voices but how would they get Exuberant Witness and a Grunt on there? Spartan Palmer makes sense as she is onboard the Infinity but Exuberant Witness, how would a Monitor on Genesis be on there? The UNSC don’t even know she exists! You could argue the Infinity found a Forerunner relic and found out about her that way then managed to get her voice or at the end of H5 Locke or the Chief told the Infinity about her but with the last argument they couldn’t get her voice from a few story’s so I don’t believe Exuberant being a announcer is cannon. Now, the Grunt who’s name I can’t remember, this one somewhat makes sense. They had plenty of time to capture a Grunt or receive a transmission from a Grunt then make words using its voice or even have a Grunt onboard from the Swords Of Sanghelios. In conclusion I believe the announcer voices are not cannon like the actual multiplayer because of Exuberant Witness.

No, they’re not canon - they’re just for fun. As are some other more silly little additions to the multiplayer (like the food-themed and HCS weapon skins).

They might be… but I don’t think anyone has outright stated that they are.

How do you know she didn’t tagged along with Locke and Chief when they left Genesis?

Note I’m not saying she did but if they were to say the voices are canon, that would be the best explanation for how she got on the Infinity.

I say yes. Not that it’ll have any big difference for the future of the universe.

I’d say yes. My reasons are
A) that Buck, Yabda, and Exub all have quotes in game about going into a Wargames simulations booth if you select them.

B) a canon fodder brings it up also.

C) Palmer already had to make it back to Infinity to even be a Warzone Commentator for a few things. So this means Buck and Exub already have a easy way to return to Infinity at somepoint also.

I hope my reasons are good enough for ye all.

I’d say it’s cannon because 343 said they want to have as much as possible cannon.

Buck can be Cannon as he could comment on any game whilst on the Infinity before Genesis, Yabda can also be but that would confirm an SOS presence on the Infinity, perhaps he was brought aboard when Osiris were picked up by the SOS.

Exuberant is the only one with Canon difficulty’s as it would require her to regroup with the Infinity after Halo 5 which hasn’t been confirmed for any of the characters so far, I think she would stay on Genesis since she just got her installation back.

I’d say Exub could of very easily joined Buck and Palmer back to infinity. I mean that aint Impossible. Infact I’d say its very likely as Exub was very interested in Studying other species. As shown in the last mission of Halo 5.

Having a species go, “Go on Exub, go watch our soldiers train”, would be like an exciting dream for her.

Its possible but as far as I know 343 haven’t confirmed if any of them arrived back to Infinity, they were only shown to land on the elite home world and even in that shot Buck and Exuberant weren’t even shown.

If the pack is Canon it would have to mean that the Infinity regrouped at Sanghelios which I find highly unlikely as Cortana probably would have a Guardian there, so even if they did regroup the Wargames would be EMPd anyway as Infinity wouldn’t have enough time to arrive, pick them up and leave before getting hit.

Although 343 did imply Sanghelios is a safe haven for remaining UNSC forces so I could be wrong and there might not be a Guardian so she very well might have abandoned Genesis and gone with Blue and Osiris.

Are you sure those skins aren’t canon? People in real life would have obnoxiously-skinned weapons, why not fictional characters too?

I wouldn’t imagine they would be canon, they’re just voice layovers. I guess they could intergrate it into canon but my guess is they won’t.
