Are the Halo games and communtity doomed by 343?

How is this a constructive post? I don’t see the discussion value.

It’s been in a bit of a rough spot, but halo 5 will 0ut us back up there.

Seems to be a popular topic, that’s all I figured. I think MCC was kinda lame, but 4 was good, and 5 will be great.

I actually expected a lot for #4. interesting. I think the best of Halo is now.

No I think 343 done a great job on the halo 4 campaign but a few friends complain about the multiplayer for not being like reach. But we are all pumped for the halo 5 warzone game mode.

The Halo games and the community are not going to be killed by 343, 343 and the Halo games are going to be killed by the community. Too bad that theres people out there that complains about anything. (I’m not talking about those who make constructive criticism, but those who go on waypoint and just cry about little things)

The community itself has been rather cancerous for a while now, but Halo 5 looks like it’s going to put the franchise back on top - or at least get the ball rolling in that direction. Voted #3.

People have been saying the games have been dying or dead since Halo 2, so I don’t put too much stock in doom and gloom anymore.

If you listened to the doom and gloom in 2004, people said Halo was dead because of adding the Arbiter as a playable character and now he’s a fan-favorite.

It gets to a point where people are just determined to find an excuse for why “Halo is dead” or “Halo [insert title of upcoming Halo game] sucks”, and you just have to tune that crap out and enjoy the game.

If anything kills Halo, it’ll be the community. But the community has been complaining nonstop about Halo since 2004 so I see no reason why it’ll die out now, aside from actually having competition in the market now.

I also remember Halo2sucks.com. Boy, a whole site dedicated to hating Halo 2. Imagine that.

Halo 4’s campaign was superb, so I know that at the least 343 will do a good job with Halo 5: Guardians, even if it doesn’t live up to the godhood of Combat Evolved, which no video game will ever in the history of all times…

I would just like to say bungie never gave us 15+ free maps and I LOVE bungie

Clickbait is clickbait. I bet a headhunter medal this post goes to hot topics then gets canned.

Yeah… I was there as an active poster and near the end, the owner. I regret that so much. I love Halo 2 now more than ever and I was definitely wrong in what I was posting.

As for the OP,

I think you’ll get radically different viewpoints depending on where you post this. If this was in the Halo MCC forums, it would be all “#HaloisDad” all over again.

I personally think 343 did an amazing job with Halo 4. I honestly do. I gained a LOT of respect for them after H4.

THEN

TMCC happened and I absolutely lost any faith in 343. Especially since it took 6-7 months to get it working properly. I wont even consider buying H5 until I am somewhat confident the game has launched with very few problems. I am most interested in Warzone and the co-op campaign.

How is this even a topic, it’s just a poll with no discussion.

The MCC was also outsourced to different teams to work on. 343 just did the UI.

Do you also hate Ruffian Games, Certain Affinity, Sabre Interactive and Unified Front Games, you know, the people who helped develop the ports of the individual games used in the MCC?
