I’m not sure as to their content, but should i buy the DLCs for halo wars? I love the game, but i feel like its getting a bit repetitive playing death match or standard on the same maps over and over again. I feel like the week after i buy them they’ll go on sale or wars 2 will be announced. Advice?
ok well I got the DLC’s free when I bought the platinum hits version new. If you play online alot and plan on it, I think their good BUT the playlists normally have low population (even though like 1v1 and 3v3 standard are normally full of people)
so if you REALLY love it and wanna play it alot then yea go ahead but I would be weary if your not a super-fan
I hope its worth it because I have gotten them yet.
One thing is that I don’t have live, but i own 2 360s and 2 copies so i would end up buying to copies of each DLC, so I would probably end up getting whichever one is better. Opinion?
Strategic Options adds more gametypes (which makes the list GIANT when it comes to gametypes)
and the Historic map pack adds like 4 maps so its sorta like just take what you think you want I don’t play online as much as I wished I did so I never notice which is better

If you think you will really like the new game-types, enough so that you play them offline, with friends, and in custom (cause there is rarely enough people online to support the other game types), then get it.
Other wise I strongly suggest you get the map pack. You will get far more enjoyment out of it, better use online, and some of the more fun maps out there.
My opinion: MAP PACK
The first one not really unless your a big fan; second one yes.
your more likely to get a game with the new maps(which i personally think are all good maps)
the new game types are rarely played because nobody wants to pay for them and really only one of those game types is worth playing(reinforcements)
i have never seen tug of war with any population
keep away is really just a matter of whose better at cowardly tactics…
Halo Wars map packs are good, if you’re getting tired of the shipped ones.
Ya know, as much as I love Halo Wars, I don’t think the DLC is worth it. It’s almost always *Low Population and, to be honest, I’m not exactly sure what to do in the new gametypes.

Be awesome. That’s all you have to do!
I only want them for the achievements; would that be worth it?
New maps are always fun but in my opinion, the new gametypes are much better, adding a new level of strategy to the game. My favorite gametype is Reinforcement since you never know what you’ll get, encouraging adaptability and micromanaging.
I like my Waypoint so I got them purely for the Achievements, content wise they never really added anything exceptional tbh!
Get them though its Halo after all
if I could get my money back for the gametypes, I would. not worth it for the map pack. 1 3v3 map, you must scoff those magic mushrooms Robot.
No don’t buy it. Even when they were half off a few months ago they still weren’t worth it. Way too pricey and online community of that game is essentially dead.
The map expansion is totally worth it. The game add ons not so much seeing as nobody really plays them. They are really fun, but just not enough fan base to support the playlists.

the problem with the gametypes, from what I remember, is the fact that they are actually in the game code, and the dlc just unlocks them for use. BS or what.
