Hey guys.
I pre ordered Halo 4 and I intended to keep
at it, but life got in the way and I had things
to attend to, so I never purchased the DLC.
Are the DLC maps worth it? Should I buy the
season pass at this late stage? Thanks in
advance.
P.S No doubt this is against the forum rules or
something, but I’m tired and can’t find them 
I think Majestic and Castle were awesome but Crimson wasn’t very good imo.
Majestic is small to mid sized maps while Castle and Crimson are mid to large scaled maps.

Honestly, the maps are not the greatest, and for me, they rarely appear unless your playing in a DLC playlist.
Also, this might only be a problem I am experiencing, but the War Games Map Pass seems to have issues being varified. This might only be my console, but even after a 2-hour call to xbox, I am still having some issues with it.
Hmmm I’m not sure what to do, more maps would be cool though I guess. Thanks for the replies guys.

Thanks for the info. Probably a stupid question, but say I bought just the Majestic map pack for example, would I be put into online games with other people who own it, or do I need every map pack to play DLC maps online?
God I feel so dumb right now
I wouldn’t really get them. they’re good but because most of the time someone in the lobby doesn’t have a map pack you’ll never get to play them

Only Castle is able to be played in matchmaking.
Let me reiterate.
Only Castle is able to be played in matchmaking.
You pay to play all 3 map packs but can only play on one.
Unless you really want the Strider, Scanner, and the Emblem…
Don’t buy it.

No, you just need at least one map pack DLC to play against other players who may have more than one DLC. Don’t worry, it’s not a dumb question. There are games that require all DLC in order to play other players. (psst… Halo 3).

Only Castle has a playlist online.

Right now it’s Majestic that’s playable as it’s own playlist and I think they’re rotating them so that all map pacs will be played.
All maps are playable in other playlists though but you need to be put in a game where all other players own the dlc for them to show up as options.

The map packs show up quite a bit if you stay with the same team that have the DLC in a non-DLC playlist. In my opinion, I really like the Map Packs, especially Wreckage and Harvest. Crimson Map Packs are just big, and a lot people played the maps as small teams. That’s why a lot of people don’t like it. It’s waaaaayyy better if played on Big Team battles, and I’ve tried it. It’s good. The best Map Pack would be Majestic, Castle, and Crimson in order.

Good to hear! However, they still need 3 seperate playlists instead of this rotation garbage.
If the rotation didn’t happen, there would be a few players on the playlist, unfortunately. The rotation of the map packs help focus population on that current playlist. It’s a pain to wait, but it’s better that way.
Eh, the maps are good but they just come up so frustratingly little. If they change the DLC playlist to play ALL the DLC then it will be worth it. I would be surprised if they didn’t do this soon considering how castle is getting older.

If other people do not have it you will just be putted in with other people who don’t own it.
There is Majestic DLC playlist right now, but the playlist will change sometimes but I hope they will just make it a DLC playlist
If you were to ask me personally, I wouldn’t buy it. If I could, I’d probably get my money back. No offense 343. XI
No you’ll spend half your games on the default maps and the other half on forge maps, save your money for a good meal.
The maps are fun, but you rarely have the chance to play them online.

The general consensus seems to be to avoid the DLC due
to not being able to play much of it, or to get Majestic
at a stretch. Noted!
