Are the babies done crying about the store? Can we talk about real issues now?

I don’t think anyone is ignoring these issues just because of the store. Store is something they can change faster. Co-op and forge we already know are coming later, making changes to the store now isn’t changing that.

The store still has problems, however…

This is a season 2 thing, they’ve already said. Its not just going to appear in a weekly update.

Custom games definitely need to fix and new game modes are coming. Forge is also again, confirmed for season 2.

Sandbox updates don’t happen over night, and its not like balance isn’t continously talked about on these forums.

This is honestly a season thing.

Yes this definitely needs to be worked on.

This is not coming in a non-season update, but knowing 343 they’ll just remain oddly silent on it for 10 years then burry whatever the current elite thread is in infinite’s game forum before conveniently wiping it out with a forum update.

These are the issues for me. The game is eventually going to have content. But if they don’t fix the trash netcode and the stability problems, none of that content will matter.

Well when the most recent (working) updates are only to the shop…

And that’s the problem. It’s not just the recent update has been for their store, just about all updates have been for their store. Everything else is left behind.

Normally, I would agree with you. The game needs to be fixed before we think of spending money.

However I wouldn’t be so invested in the store if so many people didn’t get completely screwed with the pre-order bonuses (items that we paid early for) AND the store/customization wasn’t shown off on every screen. (seriously people still don’t have their codes fixed, nor the walmart people ever got their own codes. I will die on this hill until 343 fixes it).
With those in mind, the game is unfinished across the board, but the store is something that can be fixed the soonest, which is why people go straight to that. We also want to show our support for what they have done right, through the store. But if they can’t even do that right, then most of us don’t feel comfortable supporting what little Infinite has done right in comparison to everything else.
-CO-OP and forge has a deadline, campaign fixes will probably come with those updates. We’ll complain about that when we get there.
-sandbox rebalancing (including vehicles) is large enough that it might be bundled with seasons. I’m hoping vehicle rebalancing will be with the campaign fixes.
-Desync and other issues are parallel with store updates. They are working on both at the same time.
-New gamemodes come with events between fractures.
-New guns and fan service at the very end of the list of current issues. We need to fix what’s happening now before they throw in new stuff that can make the previous stuff useless.
This isn’t excusing that the team has done a poor job of coming out and blatantly say this, or making sure everything actually works per-update. But this is the pattern established even if we don’t like it.

I agree with you. I also think 343i needs to be more transparent. All their updates (not game updates, their community updates) revolve around the store and recently BTB. No mention of any other aspects of the game. When other things are ignored it just comes off as “not a problem” or “not a priority” to them.

If you’re wondering why so many are latching on to the store, it’s because it is emblematic of what many people see as the biggest problems of the game.

The store is emblematic of the capitalist greed that has permeated the dev cycle of this game. Out-sourced content, content cut to be sold to us later, a battle pass castrated to create more items for the store. There are very good reasons people are focusing on this. There is no need to complain about other people’s opinions when you could just state your own.

That would be because the higher-ups at 343 are clowns who care only about money and not the quality of their game.

Somehow, even after 10 years, they fail to see that pleasing their core community and making money are linked, and that they can’t make all of that sweet sweet fortnite cash while also ignoring 99% of the feedback of their player base.

There is a lot of potential here in Infinite that feels buried beneath the shortsighted folly of top management only interested in a get rich quick cash grab.

I agree with everything you said. Expect the BR. That’s just the nature of the BR with hit reg.

343 actually didn’t "f up " 4. 4 was the only fully stable, fully complete game 343 ever launched.

343 lied about the no FOMO. It’s all over the game.

They don’t mean squat for many others who don’t care about sending their master chief to spartan prom night LOL

Other than that I do actually agree with what you are saying about actual game play (and lack thereof) issues

Prom king helmet attachment with prom queen Cortana AI skin incoming

Is that the one where she sits on your shoulder?

I really like the new game mode (attrition), i’d love to see it come to ranked. I agree with all of these other needed improvements. beyond the desync and etc. I think this game needs more content overall. More MP maps, more skins, more customization, menus that are easier to navigate, stats page, some sort of lifetime XP progression, more game modes (multi team, battle royale? etc), possibly added weapons (smg? dmr?)

I consider directly changing mp to be like COD a f up, even if it was 343’s intentional decision.

HEYYYYYY get your hands off Dr Seuss!!

The store is still a problem and they can’t be allowed to forget that it’s still a problem.

Yes but to wait an entire season to fix most of the underlying issues is my point.

Why are all those things I mentioned season 2 things but the store (which isn’t close to relevant to most of the games issues) is clearly an ongoing weekly thing that seems to be getting improved/changed constantly.
