The short answer to your question is no. By the time the babies are old enough to stop crying, another Halo game will be out.
Ok dude, maybe spend a bit less time online lol.
ok give me one example of this having any impact at all on the pro level. You are free to use any of the Open or Pro series, or Raleigh to support your argument. Now Desync and screwy melees has had definitely impacted things, but collision I have not seen impact a single kill so far.
I was originally worried about possible exploits like maybe an entire team could just stay in the same spot, then when someone pushed them they’d all separate then pounce on someone or something lol, but I have fortunately not seen it have any real impact on the pro level. I think that grenade spam itself is so strong that its sort of an unusable way of avoiding damage. Compare that to say Strongsiding (for those of you that don’t know, its when you look straight down and your head becomes harder to shoot) and its pretty clear how irrelevant it is so far.
If you think the assault rifle is fine in Infinite then it means (by process of elimination) that you thought it was insanely underpowered in every other Halo game.
Says the dude constantly on the boards
people on this forum are weird dude
I mean I literally told people they would nickel and dime you on individual pieces. What did you honestly expect? This is a business. Either buy the product or don’t. Simple as that. Vote with your wallet.
They’ll never fix the core gameplay of this game. They f’d up 4. They f’d up 5. People always mention MCC but those games (besides 4) weren’t made by 343. They’ve only made mediocre Halo games with a multitude of problems.
Everyone should just stop wasting their time and drop the game. Maybe then microsoft will can 343, and a good future Halo game will be a possibility.
Anyone who can’t see the direct relationship between monetization and overall game quality is incredibly short-sighted.
Define “core gameplay”?
None of the stuff I mentioned in my opinion is unfixable or at least can’t be improved.
This was already done with Halo 4 though, so I question if it would even work lol. I think that Infinite is likely to be the last Halo game. Microsoft do not value Halo as much (IP wise) as they once did. They have far more options now after acquiring Bethesda/Activisions/Blizzard.
Love 343i or hate them, they’re the best option we’ll ever have.
Doubtful. Infinite, within 3 months, has had 20 million players grab it, that is the biggest Halo launch ever. Even MS isn’t dumb enough to not see the goldmine that is waiting to be tapped into, just a matter of if they do it correctly
IMO the real issue is the entire game.
Where did you get those numbers? Even if that were true (that Infinite has 20 million players, which I severely doubt with all due respect) it is still hard to look at Halo (even before acquisitions) and not see it as a series in decline. This is not me saying its dead, I am saying that MS are a business. They look for areas of rapid growth and so on, and Infinite (which probably doesn’t even have a real impact on Gamepass subscriptions? Their most valued metric right now gaming wise) isn’t it Chief lol.
Halo is just not as important to them as it once was. Not that Halo is dad and that Microsoft will sell it in a year lol, just that I think the likelihood of them doing anything else with the series (spinoffs basically) is highly unlikely. Infinite will be the last Halo game. Though more Halo merchandise is guaranteed like books comics etc.

Let’s see if this warrants a temporary ban.
Do they have different teams working on different projects?
What I mean is, they have people working on the store, since that is their focus. Then they have a team who works on other individual issues like desync, hit registration, etc.
And then they have a team working on the campaign, and a team working on hopefully making a large scale firefight mode.
Is that correct, or is it one team trying to prioritize things to fix. Because if that’s the case, then yea, forget the store and fix the other issues first.
Also, I disagree with you saying the store is cheaper and whatnot. It’s still a mess.
think ill wait a year or 2 for the game to become good… i dont see the store ever being good its been designed to be predatory its like expecting an alligator to not bite you
early adopters just get punished and 343 did say no FOMO so even in 2 years time ill be able to unlock the gear everyone else has ill save my money and play something else i might even go back to halo 5
i am missing my abilities even if they are watered down
Um, the Halo twitter posted them? Lol
Of course not. But that doesn’t mean they will throw him in the trash. With that logic, they would throw anything involving gaming in the trash, because that is not their main source of income, lol
It is almost impossible (without knowing many of their devs and respective roles by name) for someone to really make any kind of educated guess as to how many are working on this or how many on that and so on.
My main concern (and this has been a recurring theme of mine for a long time) is that a few key aspects of the game, that are more surface level and immediately apparent will be fixed but tons of the underlying and more sinister issues will persist. A classic example of this is the sandbox of Halo Infinite. Now on the surface it looks perfectly fine guns go brrr but when you peel it back a little bit it seems kind of unbalanced and leads to a bad experience long term for all of MP. How long before they do anything in regards to the sandbox? It could be many many months away. Sandbox is probably one of the most important elements of any game so that kind of elucidates my point here.
Fans are scapegoating the store, and because of this the worse issues and the ones that actually will get many people to have already left won’t be addressed. 343i will not care about Y or Z because everybody is focused on X essentially.
You brung up firefight mode, why do you believe it hasn’t been in a Halo game day 1 since Reach? Because it never gets priority. Halo 4 they focused all of their attention towards Spartan Ops, Halo 5 it was all about Warzone, and in Halo Infinite I seriously wonder what they even care about so that is why.
no link no proof.

Maybe pay attention
No the store is not good rn, especially compared to other FTP games on the market atm.
If the only thing you care about is the store, then by your logic you should just go ahead and play other F2P games. Fortnite has a MasterChief skin, so why not just play that?
I dread to think that this will be an ongoing conversations months/years down the line. I am terrified that 343i are never going to do a single thing to improve anything else.
I bring up the store because it is a necessary evil in the FTP product as is expected, but how its set up is akin to a glorified showroom floor that cycles between weirdly priced offers varying in consistency of value.
at that point its no better than a lootbox but on a weekly refresh on “whats available this week.”
other FTP games at least allow a form of direct purchase, permanently.
The singular helm being rotated in and out does no solve the issue the system has in place since the game’s launch.
