343i have not only lowered the prices of everything in the store, they’ve decided to do away with the bundles and are now selling individual items for about $5 each.
Can we move on (as a community) to talking about things that actually matter? I’m sorry folks, store prices don’t mean squat for the 200k people that already left this game.
Just to state some of the things off the top of my head that Infinite needs:
-Co-op, replayable missions, mod support (I have a dream )
-Forge, custom games that work properly, more gametypes/modes to bolster this as well.
-Sandbox needs some tweaking. AR is super OP in current Infinite, Sidekick is bloom spamfest, BR is a bit too easy to use.
-More weapons/vehicles are not needed but definitely would be appreciated
-Desync, Hit registration, bad matchmaking, melees being about as coherent as a Dr Seuss book.
-PC issues across the board, whether it be optimization or crashes
-fan service like playable elites or modes that have been missed for well over a decade (Invasion is what I miss the most)
Maybe a community is not just a hivemind, but many individuals with different interests.
The gameplay issues already feel like discussed to death and nothing has changed. People get tired
about complaining about it and absolutely nothing changes (except thing get worse).
So the decline of players is inevitable (which is more than 200k players, because 200k is steam only
at peaks).
If you do not care about any of the things I mentioned, then to you me you do not care about Halo whatsoever.
Now that one issue has been addressed/fixed (for now anyways) can we move on to fixing some of the more (in my opinion) important issues that are killing this game.
But the store has, which implies that everything else I mentioned can also be improved/fixed with enough time and effort.
Fair point. So these issues are larger than I made them out to be
There’s different teams for different projects. 343i is working on that stuff, while simultaneously working on other areas of the game. Pricing in particular is easy to change. Conversation about the store is not hindering other projects.
This isn’t Reddit. We don’t have mods that ban everyone that has different opinions about the game till every remaining participant is in unanimous agreement.
That is technically true, but I would like to give a good example of that not working out that way.
Infinite was originally going to come out in 2020 was it not? So they delayed an entire year right?
What did 343i do in that entire year of time? It seems as though they only focused on one thing alone that entire time and that was graphics. They didn’t worry about features like Forge or Co-op, they didn’t care about basically any other issue besides the #1 issue that ‘the media’ brung up. So there is a precedent for what I am saying. Though I love the idea that them doing something (anything for that matter) has no impact on anything else its a big game/franchise so any dev doing something here means they don’t do something elsewhere.
I didn’t say nor imply that people complaining about the store should be banned
Now I would appreciate if they had more useful tools so that users can tell the difference between obvious trolls and actual fans but that’s kind of an easy thing to find out if you just pay attention long enough.
Wasn’t trying to say you were demanding bans. What I meant was that is how Reddit functions and how they get everyone to have the same opinion in their communities. Natural communities will have a wider range of opinions which deviates from Reddit’s lockstep nature.
343i was faced with many problems during development including a massive cut, engine problems, contracting issues, and much more. The outcry regarding graphics basically demanded a response due to how loud it was. It could not have been ignored. Graphics are much harder to rework than changing some numbers on the backend.
Hot take: no collision has actually worked fine. I mean melees are nuts but because of Desync and other issues I can’t even tell what the real cause is with it.
I said before months back that collision would be decided by how it was perceived competitively. From that angle it has been a huge success. Hasn’t really impacted any matches so far to my knowledge.
Cool
I remember having convserations with people about this long long ago lol. I am aware that lots of people value graphics as the standard for games. I’m more old fashioned. I care about features and content and value over presentation. In fact I would argue that for Infinite (because its F2P) graphics have never been less significant then they are now. Graphics aren’t what will make your game succeed these days lol. In fact one could argue that lower end titles (such as Fortnite for one example) have an advantage specifically because they use lower poly textures and can churn out content faster.
LMAOO. Your kidding right? You know what no collison does? It lets players make plays that are not possible in other halos. People litterally walking back and fourth THROUGH eachother to switch off and shoot.
Just because pros SOMEHOW are tolerating it doesn’t mean it’s not a MASSIVE problem
yeah cause customization, something thats been massive in halo since 3 bein busted is only something babies complain about right?
maybe blame 343 for this crap insteada the community
God you are a brat.
Why don’t you simply state your grievances while also allowing others to state theirs?
Imagine being such a toddler that you feel like you have to fight for daddy’s attention
ALL CAPS does not make something true. It has largely been irrelevant at top level play because nades, so going through one another doesn’t really matter. I have seen a weird outplay where a pro thrusts through someone as a way to completely screw up their aim, but I consider that an outplay so I kind of like it
Good, because thats as cringey as you are acting when you try to gaslight other players for having a grievance with this game. Because many people complaining about customization also hate the desync, lag, playlist issues, etc. you are only causing unnecessary issues within the forum when you try to conflate issues.
Because it reality they ALL need to be addressed.
You’re abosultely insane. Phasing through a teammate to cap a flag. Phasing through a teammate to melee someone. Phasing through a teammate to escape damage. Players huddling in one corner because they can sit in one spot. Every single game has an instance of this and every single match a pro played had that as well there is no way on earth that’s competitive or fun
