I haven’t played infection since January so I decided to boot up a match today and the map was Bleak rock on Contingency. When the match started I realized very quickly that no one had the starting 5 shotgun ammo that you used to get back in January. There was still shotguns to pick up on the ground but no one started out with one. I also notice that the starting infected don’t get a semi-camo anymore. Is it like this in the infection game mode as well? Or is it just Contingency? Did people ask for this because personally, I don’t like the change?

you are right, not many people like it. 
It’s kind of random since there are multiply game types. It’s hard to keep track of the different modes since a few very different modes in the ‘infection’ playlist.

Yeah, you guys are all right. I don’t know why I thought Contingency had starting shotguns. I played Contingency many of times, I have gotten 4
Killionaires and all 4 of them took place in a contingency game. but I forgot that you don’t start with a shotgun. For some reason, I thought they just removed shotguns from contingency even though they were never in the mode, to begin with. I definitely understand why a lot of people would hate the mode because it’s very easy to get killstreaks in contingency and the Infected dies a lot in contingency than in Infection but personally, I like contingency more than infection. Tbh I didn’t even know people hated the mode.

Not sure but I have noticed sometimes maps do pop up, there not always the same weapons that I used when I previously loaded up the same map. Though I don’t recall Contingency ever having shotguns at the start but I believe there is a pickup somewhere for one. They do ‘refresh’ the maps sometimes with playlist changes so it’s possible weapons may have been there previously.

I dislike contingency because of how unbalanced it is. To get 100 kills in a game for example should take an incredibly lucky lobby and someone playing out of their mind. On contingency, literally anybody can get 100 kills with enough time and practice. I guess unless you are the zombies on the receiving end of the top 1% players you won’t really notice the unbalance. There’s literally a jorge’s chaingun on one of the maps you can find, and as last man you get 3 hits.
