Are Spartan companies canon

Want to know

Doubt it, in canon the teams for War Games are distinguished by Fireteam.

Probably.

Yes but a Company can consist of multiple fire-teams. And I’m quite sure it was mentioned in a Cannon fodder Buck was in charge of a small Spartan Company after NB but before H5.

Nope. This was in the Halo 5: Limited edition Profiles.
Pretty much after he was “done” with Alpha-9 he became a temporary Spartan Commander for the UNSC Merriweather Lewis before he transferred to Infinity and Osiris.

So the Spartan Companies aren’t canon? Also is that a ship or a station of some sort Buck was in command of?

While I cant confirm the Spartan Companies.

I can say that UNSC Meriwether Lewis(which I spelt wrong originally sorry) is a ship.

Interesting. Any difference between Buck’s rank of Spartan Commander and Sarah Palmer’s rank of Spartan Commander?

Probably the same except. Buck was a temp. And Palmer was a perma.

If two Spartan Commanders had to work together I bet that its up to the discretion of the Commanders on who is in charge based on the mission.

Yeah, it would be good to get some more clarification on Spartan Branch organization and titles.

I thought Palmer was merely the spartan commander of Infinity.
Therefore buck was the spartan commander of the other ship.

Well yea.(guess that info was lost in quotes) xD

Regardless I do wonder how two Spartan Commanders would work together.

Thing is, isn’t the Infinity supposed to have about 300 Spartan-IVs? Initiation mentions that there are 300 of those armor assembling devices, and in Spartan Ops, the entire armor bay looks pretty full.

If so, the Infinity would be home to like 3/5s of all IVs, and I believe some armor in Halo 5 mentions that most IVs (or Spartans in general) who don’t serve on the Infinity find themselves working for ONI directly.

I think so…

I was actually wondering this the other day. Considering 343 and their love for canonizing almost any and everything into the Halo Universe along with the Achilies Armor Variant being included along with the post they have about it, they’re likely canon to some extent.
