Are Requisitions Gambling and is it legal

Do not intentionally troll.

Lets First define gambling Under USLEGAL.com
“A person engages in gambling if he stakes or risks something(IE Money) of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance(Armor and Permanent unlocks) or a future contingent event not under his control or influence(RNG), upon an agreement or understanding that he or someone else will receive something of value in the event of a certain outcome (2 Permanant Unlocks Per Gold and Silver).” Link
Now That we have established a definition one could argue, very easily that Requisitions are in fact gambling and as such take advantage of a person.
And with Daily Fantasy sports here getting hit hard it wont be long before some very angry fans actually do something, I wont, but somebody could bring this to an attorney

343i has a better legal understanding than you do.

Seriously?! Did you ever need to bring that up?! I find no point of interest in posting something like this.

im sure draft kings do as well…

no, because you dont have to buy them. simple as that. the game offers a way in which you can buy them just by playing

You’re not risking anything by making a purchase. You are receiving an item in exchange for cash.

This.

OP, it’s akin to buying a blind bag/box of any collectible figures or merchandise.

Nope. You may not get what you wanted, but you still get what you paid for. That’s not gambling.

By that logic, so is buying trading cards.

by that logic, sure, but it fits in the “legal definition” so if someone brought a case to pokemon TCG with this definition…they could potentially win the case

No…just no…

By this logic, going to McDonald’s is gambling.

You don’t have to use money, and you are guaranteed to get something, it is like buying Pokemon cards, it is not gambling.

yes …just …yes

What do you call 5 lawyers in car driving off a cliff?

A good start.

"A person engages in gambling if he stakes or risks something(Diabetes) of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance(Armor and Permanent unlocks) or a future contingent event (eating) not under his control or influence(Hunger), upon an agreement or understanding that he or someone else will receive something of value in the event of a certain outcome (Juicy angus burger).

Odium44 you are correct

So, the entirety of Destiny and Borderlands is gambling? “I payed money for this game, but I’m not guaranteed any of the loot I want.” If that isn’t good enough for you: Every single trading card or Mega Bloks Figure pack is random. Gambling is when you pay money for the sole purpose of earning more money, be it in value or literal $.

Nowhere is this in the LEGAL definition
