Does anyone else find it hard to believe that you need 400+ hours to unlock every single cosmetic item without paying? There are games out there that give you all the cosmetic stuff in a few hours. Although I like the req system I believe it should be toned down a bit to make it more realistic on getting most of the stuff, this includes weapons also. Maybe 6000 points for a gold pack, 3000 for a silver pack and,1000 for a bronze pack, and also maybe add a pack which gives you random stuff for 5000. Or maybe commendation packs should only have one random guaranteed permanent unlockable instead of just being an equivalent to a -Yoink!- bronze pack. What do you guys think? Is this a problem, because I for one believe this is pretty unfair and unrealistic in its current state.
Maybe they should lower the cost but it does kinda encourage more play time or if not to encourage people to buy them

Even if they don’t change the cost of the Req pack they could at least change the payout of the packs. Like the bronze pack should have 1 permanent, keep the two permanents in the silver, and give 3 permanents in the gold and slightly reduce the consumables in the gold pack.
So you don’t intend to play this game beyond 400 hours?
If you do, whats the hurry?

I know but that’s an absurd amount of gameplay time in my opinion

I plan on playing this for a long time but dont you think 400+ hours is a bit to far just to get a chance at an armor piece that I like or that cool banana emblem or a good weapon/ vehicle for warzone
But people who put hundreds of hours into the multiplayer is EXACTLY what the progression system is for. Why would they balance it for people who won’t playing that long, thus leaving long term players with no or minimal rewards down the road? That doesn’t make sense.

At that point you’ll have everything, if you plan to play this game for a long time who really cares? You might not get exactly what you want instantly but just by playing you’re working towards earning every unlockable in the game.
I’m sorry but did you play Halo Reach? 400 hours is nothing compared to the time you needed to spend in that game.
but req packs are already worthless

I know but at least in that game you could save up for the armor piece that YOU chose, it wasnt just rng

not in warzone, which I and several other people find intensely fun
Technically it will take more than 400+ hours because they will be adding new stuff to the REQ system (cosmetic as well as weapons). I’m not too worried about unlocking everything but I am aiming for a few cool armors/visors/helmets/etc.

You do realize that they will be adding more and more armor and cosmetic stuff later in the game’s life span which then gives people who will play this game for a very very long time something to unlock.

Not the weapons and vehicles and that stuff. The armor that we pick up is, unless you are that person that played destiny and got everything all the time first try. For me, already 2 days of actual playtime and no old armor, just new crap that looks like spandex and tumors. I agree, variants in warzone makes for new gameplay and is enjoyable.

Yes, that further proves my point that req packs need to be tweaked, what are the chances that you will unlocke (pun intended) everything you want to unlock?
