Are people getting more irritable?

I’ve been playing MM online since March and I’ve had no problems with people getting too angry or booting me over the unavoidable accidents. now in the last month I’ve been betrayal booted three times all over accidents. Two times I accidentally ran some over even after hitting the brakes and once I was booted after I stickied a Ghost that was coming after me while someone was trying to hijack it,(I didn’t see my teammate until it was too late). I mean since I’ve gotten better at playing I don’t think I’ve gotten that much more reckless.

Now I know these things are irritating but are they so unusual that I deserve to get booted or are the players I ran into just that much more irritable? I get splattered and blown up all the time and I let it slide with no problem.

no, you’re just unlucky and with playing irritable players.

I will boot ppl that betray me but only if they do it 3 or 4 times in 1 game and it depends on how they betrayed me too. If they blew me up and I’m in the middle of the enemy or too close to them well then thats just my bad luck but if they kill me just because I picked up a sniper riffle or some other weapon they want then they get booted. Also if they shoot at me or pummel me just for the sake of it I’ll boot if I get the chance. But having said that yours sound like accidental betrayals and you shouldn’t get booted for that. Hope you find some less grumpier players in the future.

I usually forgive players for the first time but if they betray again… The can get F#ckD… I know how what u mean tho :stuck_out_tongue:

Its the pre-Halo 4 jitters.

Reach players almost never forgive for betrayals, and it’s been that way for as long as I can remember. If you weren’t getting booted before, it’s because luck was on your side.

As Mr. Corgi said above, I only boot on the note that my teammate is of pure mal-intent. However if the said player accidentally betrays me over 3 times that player is doing more harm than good. However I usually forgive, so if we get matched up in the future, don’t expect a boot from me.

I’m not a very forgiving player and never have been unless I’m playing with friends / people I know. I really hate getting ran over or stuck for example when I’m on a no deaths game. I’m pretty quick to hit the boot option when it appears.

As I’ve said many times in the past every player I’ve ever booted never was contributing much to my team anyways and I never lost a match because I booted a ‘good’ player. Teammates have a nav marker all the time. I see no excuses.

I forgive most of the time for an accidental betrayal, but there is no second chance if it happens again.
Someone betraying me for a weapon or vehicle will be booted immediately if that option comes available and will occasionally go out of my way to make it happen.

Your probably playing with people who are irritable. I got booted for making a joke-betrayal at the end of an Invasion game (And I guess it was an annoying little 12 year old by his voice. -- It was just a joke for fun, besides there was only one enemy player, they can’t be kind enough to let that guy have sort of a chance…) and once for accidentally splattering somebody that just jumped in my way when I was in a Wraith. He didn’t say a word. -- That thing takes forever to stop (It was on Ashpalt by the way), can’t they use their mics or atleast be more careful and make sure nobody is speeding through with a hovering death machine that takes forever to stop because of the hovering. -_-

And if somebody betrays me, I forgive the ONCE unless it looked like they were intentionally betraying me. Like this one time, in Invasion Slayer on Hemmorhage, I got in the secondary turret of a Scorpion to protect our scopion, then some jerk comes along, jumps on, then smacks me until I die and I didn’t get the option to boot the jerk! then he jumps on to a Scorpion that I was driving and I was ready to shoot him off if I wasn’t afraid to get booted. -_-

I get betrayed once, I have my eye on you, and if it seemed like it was intentional to me, and I didn’t get the option to boot, then I sabotage that guy without getting booted. He gets in a fight with someone, I shoot him until his shields are down and he dies, he gets a vehicle, I EMP it or just damge it until it starts to burn up, leaving him for the enemy. If it was an accident once and it happens again, you get the extra powerful and smelly boot, I don’t care what anybody says, thats doing more harm than good, especially if they don’t have many kills…

Anyway, your probably just unlucky about the people your matched up with.

It’s the players you get matched with. Sometimes they are easily irritable and just boot you because they can.

It happens to all of us.

^^ this exactly.

My strategy: drive carefully with wraiths, can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten kicked because I accidentally nudged a spartan just a little too hard or area-killed a teammate by mistake. haha

People will just boot you over anything anymore. Apparently it just hasn’t happen to you that often.

It’s all about circumstances: If you betrayed me when you clearly had a moment to think, I’d like for you to meet my Timberlands. Betray me AND yoink me?? You’re out with a quick mash of X and A. I’m very forgiving , and rarely use the boot option. What bothers me more (and has happened several times)is when you have one player eating away at your shields with friendly fire so the enemy take one shot and you’re dead. THAT’S intolerable, yet the system can’t discern the betrayal. I’ve rarely been booted myself as I betray rarely and usually because someone jumped in front of me (or its grifball). Otherwise I’m constantly assessing the situation and making responsible decisions in order to win the game.
