Now it may seem like a weird and almost pointless question to ask, many of yous are probably even thinking of or are even currently typing about how the Prometheans and Cortana are the main villains, however I do not believe that a team of such skilled writers such as the 343 writing team would create a layout that was as one dimensional as that (The disaster of Halo 5 included). This I why I believe that through events that are currently not fully clear, the true villains of this halo saga will be revealed to be ONI, the secretive developers of the Spartan programmes. I personally believe this as It is clear that with halo 4,5 and the Hunt the Truth series (which really needs to be continued), ONI have become much more prominent and present in the series and because of this, their more shady and darker actions are also beginning to come to the front, this can be seen clearly in the beginning cut scenes of halo 4 and halo 5 that almost seem to be included entirely to set up this Idea of ONI being the true villains, even down to their directing styles and animations, a clear example of this is how in the beginning cutscene of Halo 4, Dr Halsey can be fully seen and can be quickly Identified, this is because us as the players already know her life mistakes, we already know how brutal and in some ways evil she really is. However in the same cutscene, we never really get a good look at the ONI operative that is interrogating her, he is always clouded in shadows and darkness, we don’t even learn his name. This is because he is a metaphor for all of ONI, they are in the shadows, they are the unknown of the halo series and we don’t know a thing about them. This isn’t even including the amazing setup that the Hunt the Truth audiologs did at setting up ONI as this really sinister organisation. To conclude, the Halo series has definitely split with the new games in the series and part of this is mainly due to the endings of last 2 halo games ending on unsatisfying cliffhangers. I believe that the prime focus for Halo 6 is to make the story and world more immersive an satisfying, and I believe the best way to do this is to end this whole Created mess and move on to a more satisfying villain, the people who kidnapped and tortured the Master Chief, it would not only add a high level of investment to the story for Halo fans but it would also add to the development of character that started with Halo 4, it would be rather powerful to see this unstoppable supersoldier finally break his chains as a slave and fight for something that he believes in instead of what he has been commanded to fight for. Thanks to anyone who made it this far in my rambling, yous are the true supersoldiers here
