Are mythic cards harder to get from gold packs?

I need 50 something silver packs before I can get to the gold packs (yes, I started playing Halo 5 really late).

I see there are ultra rare and legendary cards in Gold packs (if you finished all your silver packs before that). Also some legendary weapons/armor/helmets are mythic. I’m wondering if everything from gold packs is 100% random, or if you will get the mythic weapons/armor/helmets from the last gold packs?

Because in silver packs everything feels really random. It’s not like I firsts started getting all the common and uncommon stuff and after that the rare cards. So I’m wondering if it will be the same in gold packs. And if so, what is the purpose of mythic cards?

What is your experience?

Thanks for any help!

The chance of getting mythic weapons (which are available only in gold packs) are low because they are a step up from legendary weapons. Think of mythic weapons like the ultimate weapons, for example, Nornfang the mythic sniper rifle will oneshot anyone who doesn’t have Overshields on. Or you have the SPNKR prime which has rockers that travel (when you shoot them) extremely fast. Mythic weapons also give your Spartan a boost such as a jump height increase or speed increase, or damage resistance, it varies mythic weapon to weapon.

What you get out of gold packs are REQS ranging from uncommon to mythic REQ levels. So they are different from silvers by they give you more REQS (I might be wrong) and they give you higher level REQS. Also they cost more 10k per pack compares to silver at 5k per pack.

Lastly for unlocks, when you finish your silver pack unlocks you will only get unlocks higher than rare. Those include ultra rare, legendary, and mythic. And the only way to unlock those previously mentioned REQ levels is through gold packs.

Hope this clears up any confusion!

I just finished the gold grind. I can say that my last MANY unlocks were all legendary or mythic.

While I don’t know the exact odds, I can confirm that it is much more rare to get them.
