I’ve been noticing for the past few games that whenever I’m on a spree or doing something the enemy team doesn’t like, it suddenly ejects me from the match without any reason and takes me to a glitched loading screen for Fire Fight, like what you see when searching for other players but can’t back out. When this happens, I have no choice but to restart my game, and it doesn’t even state why I was thrown out in the first place, there has been absolutely no lag on each incident.
Has this been happening to anyone else? Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I’m beginning to wonder if Modders are capable of ejecting certain players they don’t like and do so out of spite, especially when you’re dominating their team. The last time this occurred was when I got an Overkill in a wasp seconds after, I’m being serious. I know people used ‘Host Booting’ back in older Halo Games.
Nope, there are currently no active exploits to the Xbox One system and as such no possible ways to modify Xbox One games. Host booting was possible on peer to peer systems like older Halo games, but not possible on dedicated servers
Yeah this happens to me, I guess we get up set more if we are winning than losing. I just don’t want some people thinking that you quit on purpose, then goes and reports you.
We need more information besides your speculation on assuming a modder kicked you out due to your performance. Especially cuz I don’t get kicked when I get 30+ kills or go on large sorres, have I? Yes, but I blame that on 343s servers, not some modder whom for whatever reason would get mad on a mode like warzone.
fyi: dedicated servers are also much harder to exploit as well, it’s very doubtful you got kicked by a modder, you’re merely a victim of server issues.
Ugh, posts like this annoy me so much. Just because you’re having disconnection issues, which we all do every now and then, it doesn’t mean that modders are out to get you. The vast majority of modders (as in, real modders who research and figure out how to mod the games) are doing it for fun, to face the challenge and to learn something, all while creating something cool. They don’t do it to ruin the experience of others.
In fact, those big modders are actively against online modding. Gamecheat13 even created a very… Verbally aggressive video calling out and insulting people who do mod online at the expense of others.
Plus, there are no available exploits on the Xbox One that would allow this sort of thing. So please, do your research beforegmaking assumptions that unfairly give modders a bad name.

I disagree they mostly certainly do it to ruin the experience for others. They may not look at it that way but finding cheats and exploits to give you an unfair advantage to win most certainly ruins the experience for others especially when they can tell you are cheating.

Agreed with Hotrod. The game is impossible to mod on(thanks for more confirmation stckrboy). It is that one thing that goes against all of your wishes! You try and try, but it goes the wrong way completely! You buy a Ghost Ultra and… -sniff- sorry, this is emotional(?), -sniff- your TV turns off! or, or, or you buy a brand new Prophet’s Bane, and you teammate splatters you with a Banshee. Now this is getting off topic, but I completely disagree with the OP. I have gotten a few really good sprees, none of which I was disconnected. I just died before getting the next good one.

But… That’s just it, most modders don’t find cheats or exploits, and never use their stuff online… Modders mod the game. As in, modify it. As in, take the game, make changes to it (such as creating weapons/vehicles, modifying behaviour of these things, creating pseudo-AI, making Pelicans flyable, injecting campaign stuff into Forge, etc.) None of their stuff ever goes online or is designed to affect any other players. They do it for fun, on their own time, and again, are extremely against any sort of online cheating.
Sure, we have the jerk faces who use hacking tools to ruin the experience of others. Maybe some of these repugnant excuses for human beings are your friends. But that’s not who I’m talking about here. I’m talking about the people like Gamecheat13, Bivi, Lord Zedd, Masterz1337 (the lead of a little project called SPv3) who use their creativity to make awesome things for the enjoyment of others. Those people are getting a bad reputation due to the few classless airheads who take amusement in ruining the experience of others online.
You know what’s weird that has happened to me a lot and I’ve thought it was modders as well cause it’s only ever happened in citations where the enemy would be raging.
