I could probably find the answer to this with a quick search, but I’d rather be the center of attention for a moment.
Are milestones ever going to be rewarded again? Or are they simply bragging rights for us who care?
Not to stir the pot, but is Bungie that much more dedicated to it’s loyalists than 343? I remember in Reach, if you had a certain milestone, you got some in-game goodies. So why not Halo 4? Most of the exclusives 343 offered were from pre orders and a partnership with Mt Dew…
Myself, and others, have put a lot of time, effort, and pride into our high milestones. Why not give us an emblem, helmet, or something cool to show for it?
I’d also add that there should have been a way to better recognize in-game player experience milestones other than a fairly easily capped numbering system (SR-130). I thought Halo Reach had a pretty neat one that should have returned to work in conjunction with a skill ranking system. That experience system with visual milestones then could of been tied into the unlocking of additional armor or whatnots.
I agree with OP. @ForumTeam: I am one of those that would like to be rewarded for unlocking achievements in Halo games. It takes time and dedication to the franchise. Not to brag but I have an 85 milestone and sometimes I feel there’s no point logging into the Waypoint app if there’s no incentive. It would be awesome if we were rewarded in future titles.
I think that’s a horrible idea. Most Halo games have Achievements tied to matchmaking. So if I wanted to unlock a certain armor or etc. in a new Halo game but didn’t get those achievements back when those games were popular, I will never be able to get those achievements, which means I will never be able to unlock that armor in the newer game.
