I mean, it seems like things that are Hard Light & Metal Killing Machines——Niether organic or AI——Shouldn’t be able to be infected. Right? Let’s take a look at it.
- they have no necks - they will blast anything into little puddles - they are resilient as -yoink!-but I wanted to hear your thoughts. Do you think that the Knights (or Promeathians in general) are able to be infected?
Promethean constructs were created before the Flood-Forerunner War if I recall, but came into heavy usage during the war.
The Promethean constructs are just AI or implanted consciousness in robotic shells. They cant be infected by the Flood because of the lack of a nervous system as a result. Their weaponry is also perfect against the flood as it disintigrates all living tissue rendering their ability to infect corpses and reanimated dead combat forms null.

But if it’s AI, then the gravemind can inflict the Logic plague, but I don’t know ehy it would want to do that to 40,000 promeathians when it would just get disintegrated by the promeathians low logic.

The Logic Plague is not something we see them use often and it took 40 something years to initiate one on the major known example of Mendicant Bias.
Also Promethean Knights are implanted consciousness of composed sentient beings. They cant be inflicted by the logic plague if I rememeber right and the other prometheans are likely not high priority. In addition I think the logic plague requires some time to execute, which would be a hassle if the prometheans are firing at you (which they will against flood forms for sure).
But its hard to say. Regardless conventional infection is impossible and the Logic Plague is probably something they have tried to guard against.

but theoretically, if it could convert ONE Promeathian, it would have access to everything the Promeathians know.

I doubt the Forerunners were that stupid. They were incredibly niave in their handling of the flood but they werent moronic enough to allow them almost direct access.
Though, I suppose they had said access with Mendicant Bias, all that couldn’t account for the Halo Array.

I’d like to see a gravemind survive a Warden Eternal infliction

I dont know much about the Warden in regards to how it would react to the Flood but if he is a Forerunner creation its highly likely he would be protected against the logic plague also.

Actually, I think he’s one of the created.

The Warden Eternal was reprogrammed by Cortana but he was previously the Guardian of the Domain, the Precursor knowledge repository used and revered extensively by the Forerunners. The Warden Eternal is Forerunner or Precursor in origin. Cortana essentially controls him as a puppet.
He existed long before humanity even created AIs.
The Created faction have co-opted Forerunner Prometheans and construcs but they didnt make any of them.
