The Knights seemed more animalistic than the soldiers to me. This may be because alot of knights came from primitive humans at the greater ark. The soldiers well seemed like soldiers so I’m thinking the sarcaficed warrior servent.
That would make sense.
But I guess well have to wait to be sure.
Well, seeing as they speak english, they might be more advanced versions of the Prometean AI. The Knights were mostly defenders of forerunner installations such as the shield world of Requiem. The soldiers must be more of an offensive AI and possibly composed foreruners. Interesting theory!
I was thinking maybe Jul gained control of a composer and has been using it to make more Prometheans but it hasn’t been working properly so it does not make proper knights. Most likely this isn’t true but I thought I would put it out there.

I think there may be some other new type of promethian that the soul is am elite.
I wonder if this has to due with the forerunner armor changing to new threats. Where the UNSC indirectly triggered a response in the construction of promethians to make these soldiers that look human to fight the humans easier.
Knights might be de-evolotutioned ancient humans and Soldiers possibly a mix of Forerunner and Ancient Human Warriors.
Did nobody watch the Halo 4 terminals? Because The Didact used the Composer on his Promeheans (who were, of course, Forerunner) to fight the Flood, and they looked exactly like the Knights in the rest of the game (including the Human ones).
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the Promethean Knights (and now Soldiers) are pre-designed “shells” built for a specific purpose and occupied by the essence of a Composed being. It does not matter what species is Composed in order to create the Knight/Soldier; that original species has no effect on the cosmetic style of the Promethean. We’ve already seen that Forerunners and Humans look exactly the same as Knights, why would Soldiers be any different? It’s clearly just another class of Promethean.
Sorry if I seem frustrated. It just gets bothersome seeing the same thread come up every other week.
I am guessing that knights are the primitive humans that were composed and soldiers are the modern humans composed in New Phoenix and possibly elsewhere.
