Recently I have been getting really bad lag in Grifball and it seems to happen a little in swat and slayer as well. Is 343 being cheap and lowering server connectivity so they dont have to pay as much for servers or is it just my connection because my friends as well are saying they are getting lag as well. Pretty sad if it does have to do with 343 because the game isnt even a year old and the servers are already lagging from what I can see.
Are you using a wired or wireless connection? I switched to wired the other day, and I’ve experienced significantly less lag since.
They used to when I had it on Expanded. I recommend putting it on Focused.

Yeah I use the Expanded search preference. I will definitely use Balanced or Focused to see if that does anything. Thanks for the suggestion

I did that and after a few games the lagg was worse than on expanded.
For me the game only got really laggy when they added search preferences it made it 10 times worse. Before lag was minimal maybe just a split second of lagg in a game every now and then but since the search preferences were added whole games lag.
expanded has the least ammount of lagg for me and focused has the worst lagg
Servers are definitely getting worse. Sometimes it seems like they take one or two out of rotation for maintenance or something. There’s the rare occasion where every shot connects, melees actually work and I get every kill I should. Most of the time it’s the opposite. It’s very noticeable.
Sometimes they are. I do not enjoy walking through the same door 10 times over and over again.

Ever since the last update I see people lagging and teleporting everywhere.
I’ve had more noticeable issues since the last update and initially thought it was Comcast. I checked my multiplayer connection and the Xbox is consistently showing 80 down, 10 up, 62 ping, and 0% packet loss. Yet I still see teleporters all over, dropped hits, and missed melees. I have a video of a sword lunge on infection where the other guy disappeared as I hit him and reappeared a couple feet over with full health. My brother has been rubber-banding like crazy too and keeps getting mysteriously dropped from games without the “you lost connection” error.

it is halo 5 servers,firefight has the same problem.
