I started getting an error that says “Attention, There was an issue with the Halo 5: Guardians servers. Please try again” yesterday. My game got stuck in the game stats menu that you see after a matchmaking game and wouldn’t let me leave the queue, so i turned off my Xbox. Now when I get on Halo 5 it wont let me do anything without getting the error. Any suggestions on a fix or are the servers down for everyone? If so then this is really dumb because this is day 2.
Everything says “retrieving data” and then i get the error
I’ve been getting the same error since last night. I just bought the game yesterday so I was unsure if it was just me or not.
Yeah I have no idea what is going on. That’s really lame that you just bought the game and its doing it. It must have something to do with the update. It shows my rank and everything as level 1 with no items and I can no longer even click on menu buttons. It’s stuck in the main menu. I think I could probably load campaign since it doesn’t require internet access.

It was working fine for my buddies and I for a few matches today, then it just started acting up. No access to REQs in game and profile not syncing error messages. Sucks, I was having a good time! Thought the Christmas hacking was starting early! Hope not…
I’ve been getting an error retrieving data for the past hour. No issues some release other than today. No matter how resets I do still same issue
I’ve been searching for over an hour. Got as close as 7 out of 8 players and it never found another and now I can’t even find 1 player. This has been a terrible experience since I got mmc about 2 weeks ago…
Also if you’re stuck in stats menu, just push your xbox symbol button, start button, and select quit. It’s much faster then restarting your xbox.
Got it to work. Still an annoying problem though. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

Special thanks to you Money, this got it to work again. I didn’t know about the start button menu from the main menu. Apparently resetting the xbox wouldn’t reset the game. Even if i did a full system shut down rather than its regular passive mode, it still would not work. I went through the start menu and hit quit and reopened the game and everything loaded.
I have been having the Sam problem since I brought the game when it first come out .I made it so that my not was open help a bit but still cap I am from new Zealand
