Are hackers really that big of an issue?

Dang…I must be hacking sometimes then. Because I sometimes get those numbers.

Once you edit the controls, its pretty smooth. Smoothest for me at least. Default settings are pretty trash.

Yes it is the issue. There’s more hackers on PC. That’s basic common sense.

We’re not saying hackers are non-existent on console. We’re saying that there’s hardly any functioning anti-cheat to be found and because of that, hackers have more leeway to hack.

It’s not basic common sense. Hackers have existed on consoles for as long as they’ve existed.

Does any one else remember lag-switching?

You and many others are prejudiced against PC players. I agree that matchmaking should have filters available for hardware platforms, but Crossplay is great.

That’s network manipulation and that can happen anywhere.

I’m not saying console hacking is impossible but vastly less likely to happen.

While the game is facing a huge hacking problem, it’s more focused around the rank playlist rather than the casual playlists. As for you being Onyx, at this point most of the hackers are at extremely high MMR than you and a majority of the community. I have faced a few myself but that was more towards the beginning of the campaign release.

Hope this clarifies things.

It’s not though. People hack consoles all the time.

Especially now that Xboxes run a modified version of Windows 10. It’s never been easier to hack consoles.

Don’t blame the PC players.

I’m not blaming you. I’m stating basic information.

Hacking is predominantly done on pc because it’s much easier to do.

then why not remove the crossplay function for lets tell 4/5 month’s and see after that if the concole’s have cheaters that really using cheating software and if in the 4/5 month’s not any report or banning has been done on the concole side what then is it not right that concole players blame the pc players for it since there is proof then?

While you might not notice them, that doesn’t mean you haven’t encountered them. Amateur hackers are of course very obvious. But then there are the people that do this sort of thing in just about every game, and have learned to hide it a bit better, and they may even be on your team.

I’ve had SWAT matches where I’ve had over 30 kills and 5 deaths - not a hacker, just depends on your team.

The rest of what you say I believe is true though - I’ve encountered a few myself.

Because it misses the point. Crossplay isn’t the problem.

I love crossplay because it lets me play with my friends regardless of what platform we’re on. Being platform-locked is a disappointment that doesn’t belong in this generation of gaming.

That being said, I’m all for adding the option to filter by platform in matchmaking if you don’t want to participate in crossplay.

on this point we all agree on if your a xbox player or pc player its something we all agree on that point off crossplay.
but then if you think further in the crossplay idea what some poeple have been done you see also it shows its big risk’s there are in crossplay idea between concole and pc.
and hackers/cheaters are one off the big risk’s people see so thats why most agree with no crossplay to make the risk to play against cheaters/hackers but the bad side effect is that you cant play with friends from other platforms and some people accept that bad effect from no crossplay.

this idea is one off the warning sign’s from a older thread about crossplay in halo infinite and 343 has done notting with it.
and that thread was 4 years old and a lot off people have make it clear all no force crossplay and only accept crossplay if its a option to turn on/off.

all the threads about hackers/cheaters and crossplay so far are the warning sign’s that have come out from 4 years ago when people told:
halo infinite + force crossplay = dooms day’s

Hackers get high points and high accuracy, normal players will not find many hackers, but once you start getting better and improving your CSR or whatever internal way of keeping track of your rank for skill based matchmaking, you’ll eventually find them, and a lot

I’ve had 3 hacker infested matches so far. One was an entire team from colombia when i pulled up halotracker. They weren’t even tryna hide it.

Halo is an extremely competitive game, one of the biggest FPS Esports in history, and it prides itself on fair and even matches.

Cheaters are not a problem in something like Minecraft or games that are more casual, but in a title like Halo cheaters are damaging to the core game and to the franchise as a whole.

Anyways I hope that when they finally get around to implementing anticheat that its kernel based, otherwise this will never end Halo will die competitively.

I’ve had more hackers since I’ve read about the hackers!

Yup. Encountered them back to back yesterday and I said “Awwww f— this”, quit & went back to MCC.

That’s because MCC actually uses an anti-cheat, has VAC support, and it’s very rare to find one on there.

When they first announced infinite, that’s when you saw an increase. They’d fly around the map, change their gamertag in game to insult people, and kill you from spawn with a gravity hammer from theirs. It was kinda dumb.

343 needs to start hardware banning people – it’s easier on xbox, but there needs to be an agreement to let 343 see your hardware on PC before playing this game… so these trashcans get bricked. Ontop of that, add two factor authentication, and make the game at least 15$ or something. Only the most persistent will still try.

Easier said than done, especially since you can change the hardware on your pc at will.
