EDIT: Feel I should have led off with this since there is some confusion to what I am saying.
There is cheating in the game. It needs to be worked on. There should have been a report function since launch and every day 343 doesn’t add that, the situation will just get worse. I am just wondering what people’s personal experience with cheating has been
I’m Onyx in both crossplay and solo/duo K&M (thinking about getting it on controller too, but it’s so boring to play with controler) and have played 191 games, but I have not faced a hacker once.
I do believe that hackers are an issue that needs to be fixed asap, of course, but I feel like the community might have overblown how big of an issue it actually is.
I am EU so maybe it’s more prevelent in other regions or maybe I am just lucky.
I am wondering tho, how many people have actually faced hackers and how often. Not just people who you think might have been hacking, but that you confirmed were hacking through theatre.

Yes they are. Next question.

Mind elaborating on that?
So that’s one person who’s never faced a hacker then. Anyone else?

while I haven’t experienced hackers in Halo Infinite, I have experienced them before in the past, back in MW2 lobbies on the PS3 before the overall PSN Servers went down.
in FTP environment they are more capable of ruining multiplayer experiences if left unchecked, it is especially negative for games with a “ten year plan” going on with a major focus on the multiplayer, so while no, they’re not a big issue atm, they can grow into a bigger issue if left unchecked, so yes.

How so? There’s no visible anti-cheat from what I’ve seen and pros have encountered a lot as well.
What would make you question this? Besides having not faced one?
Oh I am very aware of hackers and what can happen if you leave them alone. I was playing a lot R6 where these days you face a hacker every other game. I just have seen so many posts or replies in posts about hackers that it feels like everyone is playing against hackers. Yet here I am with several hundred games played and not faced a single hacker yet.
The forums don’t represent the larger community.

I’ll use an analogy to sum it up:
A fire is burning in London, by why should you care, you’re in a town further away.
If left unchecked, that fire will eventually reach you too, sometimes faster or slower than expected, either way its coming if not handled with care.

I have 800 games played. I’ve seen, I think, two people that were cheating. Onyx in two playlists as well… at one point. Thanks matchmaking! <3

I haven’t really felt like I’ve encountered many hackers but I stick a lot to BTB so that may just not be where they tend to congregate, not to mention being harder to make out in a 24-player setting.
During my few stints in Ranked though where I got to Platinum 6 before stopping, I haven’t encountered anyone who I considered to be an obvious hacker. Those who did good seemed to be people who were just good at the game.
Obviously there’s plenty of video evidence out there of there being cheaters but for me in particular I haven’t felt the cheating to be as prevalent as some have said its been for them.

Well when I see posts every day and comments every day complaining about hackers everywhere and those getting the most liked, I would have assumed that it was an out of control issue and I would have at least faced a few in the amount of games I’ve played, yet there’s not been a single one and I play at Onyx where most hackers would be. And yes they do exists and people who play this game the most and at the highest level would face them a bit, I am not denying that, just want to have a conversation about how common it is.

Oh well. Then I wouldn’t know for sure.
I’m kinda staying out of ranked until the aiming controls get fixed.

I did say in my post it should be fixed ASAP. I’m not saying we shouldn’t care and an ingame report system obviously needs to be implemented and it should have been in the game since launch and there’s no excuse to not have it. After that it needs to be constently worked on so they can stay ahead of the cheaters as best as they can.
I am simply wondering if the community is overblowing the situation considering how many posts and comments there are about cheaters each day. I can bearly read a single post on the forums where no one brings up cheaters, irregardless if the original post was about cheating.
so far i can understand good about the threads is that the overblowing was something more what a lot off communety members have see coming.
few years there was a normal discusion about crossplay for halo infinite.
a lot off communety members have post there warnings sign’s more what will happing if 343 keep doing it what there are planing to do with crossplay and matchmaking.
and in the end all the warning sign’s have been ignore and have come out also sadly

Tactical Slayer / Swat are littered with them, if you say other wise, just look for the guy who has 20+ kills and less than 5 deaths.
Go to rank and you can spot them with ease, there are pro players try hards and hackers… The hackers stick out like a sore thumb.
You are either oblivious or just ( INSERT OFFENSIVE WORD HERE ).
Hackers / Cheaters are a massive problem in the game and thats due to crossplay with PC players.

Same here, I find Infinites controls a bit wonky vs any of the other Halo titles.

I haven’t had any noticeable issues with hackers.
