I need to know to upgrade gtx 980 when it launches?
The current min spec for Nvidia cards is the GTX 1050 Ti. As for AMD, the minimum is the RX 570.
a 980 is way stronger than the min recommended card. you’re all good.

true but how the hell the card isn’t working

was it not working during the infinite flight? the tech preview was buggy and had a lot of optimization issues. though if it didn’t work at all there might be an underlying issue outside of my scope. try out this week’s flight or next weekend’s and see if it works.

It won’t work this time either.
Per Jarrard
“The team did indeed address the major crash problem that was present during the last technical preview but as is often the case with game development, other issues have surfaced,” Jarrard wrote in the Reddit thread. “I’m sorry to say that for this next preview, 900 series cards are not supported. I’ll share more info as I can get it, the team is continuing to work on bug fixing and polish for this and other areas of the game on the road to release.”
I have a GTX 970, and this time I did not receive an invitation to test the Halo Infinite flight (last time I did receive an invitation).
So they probably still do not optimize the 900 series, hopefully they will solve the errors in their launch and do not leave those GPUs without support :c

don’t give up hope yet - a lot of members did not receive the welcome invite, which seems to be due to a potential issue.
Just downloaded the 2nd flight and my 980 won’t work again, same crap as loading up and crashing as soon as you hear the sound, typical 343 problems type stuff, anyway I’ve invested in a gtx 1050ti from a certain website that has next day delivery of which will be returned for refund after the wknd
Update - you’re not missing anything , get a halo skin for csgo and you’ve pretty much got halo infinite , its a sad day
