Everytime I see sn enemy, we dont have a nice aim duel, no, the first thing we do is look at the ground and throw 2-4 grenades. Its killing the fun for me. I actually stopped playing due to it.
I agree, the grenades have been a big problem since the launch. This game rewards people for spamming not accuracy.
I think the blast radius needs to be reduced hence accuracy.
Maybe carry one type at a time or increase respawn time for the grenades or less grenades on the map.
Nade throwing is always a part of the game. I think the big disparity is the de-synch that seems to frequently occur. I often see grenades right at the feet of a target, but when they blow up, they don’t hit, but to hell if I don’t get killed by a single grenade at full health.
Grenades in Halo 2 and 3 felt good. Halo 4 Maybe too week and Infinite just OP
Nades are part of every FPS. I dont understand your point.
Are…are you new to Halo? Popping shields with a nade has been a normal thing since Halo 1.
Tell me you’ve never played Halo, without telling me.
If you’re dying to nades that often then you aren’t moving well. Anyone who chucks a nade in an open engagement is willingly putting themselves down a -Yoink!-. Push the nade and hit your shots and that kill is yours almost every time.
Thank you. This game is all grenades and melees. I want to shoo t my gun not lob grenades 24/7
The people saying it was always part of Halo: every FPS has nades. I dont understand your point.
The point is that spamming nades into corners or at players feet is a common tactic in Halo because nades pop shields.
Halo is an arena shooter. If you want more focus on gunplay you probably should play games with shorter TTK’s and don’t have things like shields you have to break first or map control for power weapons.
I don’t think it’s a problem with the grenades.nhalo was always about good bases, melee, accuracy and movement but I find the bases inconsistent. in other words, I think the problem is desync as sometimes a made will kill someone or not kill someone when they are close even with cracked shields
I don’t mind the strength of them. I just mind the inconsistency of the. Only fix to nades I want is when they blow up in the air in your face
Have you never played Halo? Grenade spamming has been a thing since EVER.
The main problem i personally have with the nades is the current bounciness. Previously in other games you had to throw it directly at the target and rely on fire exchange, now they reach pretty much anywhere on the maps and i see myself die from them way more often than i used to in the other games
Nothing to fixed probably. Gonna have to learn to adjust most likely. Try getting the repulser and reflect his grenades back at him lol.
Halo 5 dash was a great counter to grenades. I think they should add dash as the default equipment loadout. Maybe 2 uses. That would help counter the grenades. But honestly I’m fine the the current state of grenades. That’s halo baybee.
In my experience, this is literally the most difficult game to be accurate with grenades in. They’re like freaking bouncy balls compared to previous Halos. In previous Halos, grenades would have one tiny bounce and then stick their landing, frags included. This one requires much better placement to land the grenades exactly where you want.
I think the problem here is grenade inconsistency due to desync. There’s times I wedge a grenade between a Spartan’s toes and get ZERO damage done. Other times it’s 15 feet away and I secure the kill.
I don’t get how people say Grenades are OP. I can throw a grenade at my feet and it barely nick me. And, half the time, players run over them like they’re nothing.
Historically, Grenades would consistently drop shields for the 1-shot combo (aka nade-shotting). I feel like in Infinite it is more like nade-doubleshotting :).
There’s definitely some fixing needed, so don’t get me wrong on this.
Hilariously, though, the FIRST thing Bungie patched after Halo 2 was released was the grenades to make them strong, more consistent, and more impactful against Vehicles.
unpopular opinion, go play H5
Does anyone remember playing Halo 2 BTB? The moment you grab a flag and look to the sky for guidance, you’d see a very unforgiving meteor shower of grenades…
