Now with halo 5 release I have largely…no almost entirely been a war zone player and fan. The idea of big team battle with use of various vehicles and weapons is one of the things that halo was made for. Like me I am sure there are scores of you who have found like minded individuals to join up with and pit your skill and strategy against other clans and teams to prove the better tacticians. 343i even created dedicated playlist for clans to clash…excuse the reference.
Now there are those who are just too impatient or downright disingenuous and have formed clans but due to what I can only assume is their collective -Yoinks!- being handed to them have chosen to enter random no clan games to prey upon those in random matches. Consequences of this have been the Achilles armour being relegated to MEH status and 343i issuing warrants and making changes to attempt to discourage the practice.
But after reporting a ghost clan on 3 separate occasions…literally one day after the other with the same culprits being in the game my question is, has it become too big to crack down on? Are some memebers 343i so bothered by population numbers that they would let this perversion to continue for the sake of being relevant?
I put it out to the forum have you ever experienced this, reported it and still felt like nothing has been done? Or have you called it out and seen swift action? Let me know.

The term is used to describe a clan than instead of playing in clan playlist, remove their emblem, vary their armour sometimes even create new profiles and enter random battles to farm kills to gain commendations. It mainly can be seen when a team in a random match is heavily coordinated with overlapping fire, dedicated pairs (players that always move together) etc.

I’m sure a large chunk of companies don’t require certain armors and emblems. They just play together with the stuff they like to wear on.
I know when I play with my friends we all rock different stuff.

Ahhh so you mean companies that farm commendations instead of going for the objectives. Got it. Having emblem/color/armor requirements aren’t a thing i am in to, even when it comes to companies. The one i run just has a good time

What is a “clan playlist”? Honestly what you’re describing could apply to any competitive group of players, not just clans.

I forget the exact name used for the playlist but there was a playlist where you had to be in a clan or team to be eligible to play in it.

Yes now I have no problem when you have people who are in a party of 3 or 4 but when a whole team is coordinated, that is where it goes ridiculous.

There was never a company specific playlist. Warzone required 12 man fireteams at one point though

So because they have a 12 man fire team they can’t coordinate their actions? I am confused as to why you have a problem with this

The size not the coodination is where my issue lays. The minute you have a party more than 6 in a war zone list, you should be matched with people who are in similar lists or online clans. I don’t know if that is feasible through the servers but when you have lone players or those in 2-4 player parties working together against a 12 man squad in war zone, it quickly changes from fun or competitive to irritation and unwillingness to play.
Matches tend to be over before a team can even make 500, players continue the game simply because they don’t want a hammer ban for quitting even though they have no way to breakout. I can’t see how that is even enjoyable for a real competitive player who wishes to prove skill and not just be seen as a seal clubber.
^^^ agreed with comment 2 points above. You dislike teams playing as a team? Beg 343 to implement party based matchmaking and if they don’t then tough it out. There is no clan playlist either, the closest thing to that was warlords which 343 has gotten away from, and that doesn’t fix arenas issues anyways.
So I have to say sod off if teams are considered un genuine cause that’s hilarious. Get some friends, join a company, play a different game, there’s all kinds of work around a for this if it bothers you that much.

Regardless of the playlist you go in to, if you are facing a skilled well coordinated team, you are going to lose. 343 has worked to stop this by limiting the fireteam size to 6 in warzone. If you and your team are not communicating though, it could be a team of random people on the other side that are communicating and that will most likely have the same outcome. Teamwork and communication are key in all game types. It doesn’t matter if you are playing with/against randoms or full teams.

1 try and keep it respectful…if you can’t then keep it to yourself. Second read my above comment.

Oh I was respectable, your problem if you see otherwise. Funny how you think this yet you’ll label people ghosting it up in groups as the opposite of being genuine. If you offer team play then of course people will do it, and I already told you the work around fir it.
Already read your comments, like I said, beg 343 to implement party based matchmaking, maybe they do it and maybe they don’t. I’d doubt it cause it’s way to late in the games life span to properly work.

Wise words from Mr. Brock. If you aren’t communicating effectively, you run the risk of losing and/or accidentally running over your teammates’s girlfriend with a scout hog. Take it from me, nothing causes division between company mates quite like running over ones girlfriend with a scout hog…
There has never been a random “no clan” game in halo 5. Ffa in its nature wouldn’t allow it because it’s a pure solo gamemode. But there’s clans for ffa players specifically in existence. Many clan members play ffa
There also has never been a clan only game in halo 5. There was warlords. But your clan or company didn’t matter. That was just limited to 12 player or 2 6 player fireteams only.
Im not sure where you’re coming from with this. There is nothing wrong with a clan entering btb with 8. Just like there is nothing wrong with a solo player entering warzone, the largest team based gamemode in halo 5 by himself
