I fell out of Halo 4 around the time the castle map pack had been release but brought myself back in for the champion bundle and was wondering if anyone had any idea if achievements from the past 3 packs are still obtainable due to their descriptions showing that you need to play in the specific playlist, those of which don’t exist anymore. I really am looking for answers from anyone who knows anything on this subject as I can’t find anything relating to this on my own search. I want to 100% the game and I’ll be really sad if I am no longer able to obtain a lot of these online achievements.
The achievements have not changed, and the maps are in rotation in most playlists. Best idea would be to get a few friends who all have the DLC if you want the cheevos.
I’m in the same boat as you are. Perhaps a group of folks like us should party up and try and get em.
i still need the mantis stomp kills on a crimson map.

You don’t need the specific playlist, just the map, so yes, the achievements are possible right now in matchmaking.
When it says “In Crimson DLC Matchmaking” it does not mean “In the Crimson DLC Playlist”, it means “In a Crimson DLC map in Matchmaking”.
You can still get a game in all DLC maps - they’re present in many playlists. Check this page for details of which maps appear where.
However, you need to hope that everyone you match up with in the lobby also owns the DLC in order the maps to appear in the voting options. This is unlikely.
Your best bet is to wait until the various DLC playlists begin their rotation again after the Champions Bundle DLC playlist is removed.
