with the amount of customization thats already out and with the amount thats gonna be out with season 3, will we be able to finally make custom armor kits? lots of combinations I want to mess around with without having to save screenshots of them in case i want to go back to a design I already made

Yeah this is an addition I personally have been wanting since before Infinite, as I change my armor set often into different character types I come up with.

That’s what the core system should have been. Like instead of these Cores we had those as Present armor combinations. And you can filter through them. Everyone gets like 5; at start and you can just pay real money to have more slots.
I would say 5 is a reasonable amount for the average player.
The way this game has been implemented just feels extremely rushed and kinda last minute thought through.

i don’t think theres an issue with the system, they have armor kits already, they just need to add the functionality for us to make our own armor kits

It’s a Huge issue, the game has so many cosmetic items but so little you can do with it. restricting certain items to specific cores or armor pieces was a completely stupid idea, they’re just now making coatings and visors cross core when it shouldve been that way from the start. there is absolutely no reason why they cant have cross core armor either, if they’re worried about clipping or whatever maybe think about that before just throwing crap in.

I really don’t think it actually matters. Infinite’s customization is no different than previous Halo games. Why now do you need to have a quick pick on your outfits if they just provide you with looks and no stats?
This isn’t an RPG, if armor provided you bonuses, then there would be a need for kits. But Halo just isn’t that. Taking pictures is as good as it gets.
If anything, the UI should be more clear and open to what you’re wearing so you can see what you equipped better
bad take, every previous halo game would benefit from such a feature, halo infinite already has the armor kit feature so it would be incredibly beneficial to unlock this feature for custom kits. don’t be a contrarian for the sake of it

thats another problem, honestly my biggest pet peeves with reachs armor is that most of it look slapped on or didn’t fit, like the the mk. 5 shoulders look like they’re holding on by a hinge, george and emiles shoulders look super oversived on 6, and now my biggest one of all, what the hell was with those tiny little shoulder pieces?!?! they looked so small they could be the attachments for the shoulder armor, not actual armor.
Now more than 10 years later and i see the same Bull and worse, all the coatings look like crap, the armor looks either really plain and boring or so different it doesn’t even look like a sci-fi game let alone halo, a lot of them still have the same problem as reach, and of course the mtx/fomo.

Fun fact: Modders have shown that using some simple in-game tools, they can wear a helmet, attachment, shoulders, torso, arms, legs, and undersuit, all from completely different cores, and make a completely custom armor coating too.
True crosscore is locked because 343 wants it that way.

Crosscore has been possible since the betas, and the bots used to use it. Don’t believe 343 is working hard to give it to us, when they intentionally took it away

First and foremost I’d personally love to just unlock the cosmetic items. I mean, no matter how elastic the customization system becomes, it’s still gonna be useless if the items are unavailable because they were released in the oast and then got vaulted after a week… And if they ever come back again it’s in those greedy 1000-1200CR bundles with crap you don’t want.

This is why 343 needs to make the store feature sales ONLY, but you can buy items individually at full price anytime from the button in the previews of the customization menus
Items in the shop would be cheaper in bundles or sales, that’s it. It doesn’t need anything else. It can feature new items too, but mainly features sales and bundles
If you own an item in customization, you can equip it. If you don’t own it, the equip button is a buy button
It’s that simple. No FOMO. No catalogue shop menu.
Preview it in the customization, and buy it if you don’t have it, or wait for it to go on sale or be in a discount bundle

Armor kit and armor cores are two different things. You might as well consider it to be different skins. Besides that, would it matter if everyone is trying to fight for cross core anyways? Its just going to turn out to be like every Halo after that.
Of course previous Halo games would benefit towards that. But that’s with all games with any form of customization. But those would have vanity in RPG games. Games with stats. There is nothing to really save in Halo besides your fashion and I cant think of another game that doesn’t do the same thing. You wonder why MCC has progressing cosmetics but no kit? Its just a waste of work time even after almost 10 years since its launch.
Yeah, when I heard better customization, I really thought about a more detailed creation inspired following on Reach’s work. Not an ACTUAL copy and paste. Whenever someone defends Reach and Infinite’s customization, I just let them know that we are wearing a preset suit changing our kneepads and wrist bands. Only the helmet ever changes.
They really shouldn’t be vaulting any cosmetics, but that’s what I hate about 343, they try these scummy FOMO tactics but act like it wasn’t their intention. Like no dude it takes more than 1 person to approve something being sent out.
They purposely wanted FOMO in the game a business and marketing team went ahead and green lit that stuff.
But how they seriously try to gaslight the community into thinking they care is beyond me, like at least Activision and Cod are pretty upfront of their scumminess, 343 just kinda hides and plays victim.
They got called out on so many decisions and try to ay it off like it was t there intention

My biggest issue is the fact colors arent all cross core. I pay for these colors but cant use them how i like and they are locked to cores i dont even use
