I’m a competitive player and wanted to know how the Clans on halo 5 are looking like since I was a Reach and 4 clan leader I’m still considering either to make a clan or to join one. Which one would be better?
Look at it this way, your best bet is to join a company because of the 3 following reasons. Because your considering to create a company, the likely hood of creating a bigger company or reaching your 100 members is very unlikely due to players already recruited in a clan and or received the Achilles armor or Helmet. 1. players stopped playing due to new release games, 2. Very unlikely that players wont join a small company if they’re WAY behind from reaching Achilles Armor and or Helmet. & 3. Players look for the company that is about to unlock the helmet or armor and try to squeeze their way in. I don’t want to say it’s to late to create your own company and with the game being out for a while now, players will probably stick with the company they are in due to almost finishing commendations and unlocking the Achilles Armor or Helmet. With the game being released about a year now, your best chance with be joining a company. BUT you may never know and with the hard work you put in on recruiting, you could probably grow to 100 in a month and start your way to slaying for Achilles. Always check the Community Forums>Recruiting, try and ask your way online if playing with players you think would fit well in your company and always try and post once every week or so on the Community Forums>Recruiting or Community Forums>Spartan Company. Follow formats of other companies and watch how others recruit to find players. Make sure you DO NOT post as SPAM on any of the Community Forums or it will lead to discipline. (Learned from experience) And most of all luck! These tips are from what I learned and to what I currently try to scout for players to join my Spartan Company.

I wouldn’t say that it’s difficult to fill up a Company, Ronin Company is sitting at 42 members in a little over a weeks of recruiting. We’ve been around since day one of H5, but only recently started to recruit.
That being said, we have a free spot if you’d like to join 
That is true like I said it all depends on who’s looking for what and the hard work you put in for the company. And i’m going to have to pass i’m the leader of a company already!

If you’re looking for reach style clans, which to me are tighter knit and in general stronger skill based, avoid big names funneling recruits like crazy. Don’t want to be a number. My company recruits mostly from matchmaking, picking the best players from the teams we defeat. I browse here but don’t often recruit. Anyhow, good luck.
