Think of this. The forerunners did lots of experimenting of humans and humanoids, and the precurs did that on both humans and forerunners. Is it possible that the Jiralhanae are a third species they made in addition to humans and forerunners?
You’re on to something…
maybe someone who read primoridium could elaborate

I did. It didn’t say anything about brutes, but it is possible brutes could be some subspecies of humanity.
Yea. I mean halos grandpa was a brute that y he’s so strong
The Brutes are not related to the humans in any way. Nor were they a sub-species of humans at any point in time. For example, they are not recognized as reclaimers, despite the fact that any kind of human would be known as such. Also, after the Forerunners had finished their splitting and devolving of human species, they were all put back on earth. The only exception being the ones that worked as labor workers for the Forerunners.

What?
lol no i don’t think so the precursors made us in halo standards, the precurssors made humans and forerunners in there image we humans and forerunners are distant cusins we look the same were the same race just different dna/rna etc you know how the skirmishers and jackals are the same well forerunners/humans not brutes whole diffrent speices read halo crptom/primordium its explans somewhat of the differnt types of speices in the universe that the libarian had on record what group they belonged to etc.

So I take it that a Ape/Monkey/Chimpanzee would be recognised as a Reclaimer?

Lol no. They’re not humans.

Sigh… Obviously you don’t understand my post.

The precursors created the Humans and forerunners, forerunners rise up and kill precursors.

I did not meaen that the forerunners made them. I mean it is probable that the precursors did. Maybe while they were experimenting for a replacement for the forerunners, but decided the brutes were too agressive.

that doesn’t at all change my point. Also we do not know exactly what happened.
They are mammalian in nature, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see a link.

I can see the precursors emerging at the end of the trilogy, but there are far, far, far to many hints that it’s the forerunners. Ever wonder why in the latest halo reach DLC pack they included so many forerunner objects? Ever wonder why the cheif is headed towards a forerunner shield world where the forerunners are supposed to be living? They didn’t design those for nothing…

I agree that the main enemy will probably be forerunner, but what has nothing to do with the subject at hand

Lol I see what you did there. That however is a whole other conversation that I do not feel like getting into.

Whoops, sorry my bad. Misinterpreted what you said.
Having read all the books and done plenty of research into the Halo universe, from what I understand the precursors only created the humans and forerunners for the purpose of seeing who was worthy of carrying on their Legacy or something like that. There is no mention or any indication of another “failed” attempt with another species. The brutes along with the various other races (Elites, Prophets, etc.) were more than likely already there.

What? Halo isn’t a person. A Halo is the giant Ring you see at that start of Halo CE, at the start of the level “Delta Halo”, on Halo 2, and what you are on in the Mission “Halo”, as well as what you see the pillar of Autumn flyng towards in Halo Reach’s credits.
I’m thinking you mean Master Chief. The guy with green armour you play as in Halo 1,2,3, and 4.
