When I first started playing the game all I did was buy the gold packs, but as I’ve gotten to a higher level I haven’t been able to get as many req. points so I have been buying bronze and silver more than gold. Lately, I have been getting more helmets and visor colors than I did before even though I know it is all random and they might be uncommon instead of rare or legendary. I also noticed that if I buy any pack, on average I sell a majority of what is in the pack anyway so if I buy a bronze I am able to sell it and have almost 300-500 req. points again and in turn am able to get more chances at unlocking armor etc. so early into the game. What is everyone’s thoughts on this?
I guess it all depends on what you want out of them. If you are just looking for common unlocks or req 2-4 weapons bronze is ok.
Silver will get you more uncommon and rare so if you are going for that elusive DMR that would be what you want.
Gold packs are for the war zone players that want to get the high end vehicles and power weapons to take said vehicles out as well.
Lots of theories about wether to buy silver or gold first, but in the end if you are trying to unlock everything it will take about the same time.
Personally I mix it up and try to buy at least 1 of each every day. That way I have a good mix of reqs to use in any situation.
Buy tons of bronze first. Then move on to silver then gold.
Not too bad if you don’t have many commons, but they don’t give all that much which is pretty bad.

I think the problem with Bronze is thay it’s a Chance you will get a permanent Item over a sure thing.
Like I bought 8 yesterday and 7/8 gave me something while my friend did the same thing and only got 3/8 permanent items.
No one has worked out the % of the odds of getting a permanent Item. But I have been starting to just buy 8 Bronze a day and the rest silvers. So basically I do 8 Warzone assualts for 1 match of that, win or lose, gives me enough for 1 bronze

Storm Rifles are beast in H5. Way better then the AR. Its nothing like the Halo 4 version
i will try to stick with the silver pack for now and see how it goes
I open Bronze when feeling the impulsive need to open packs, Sliver and Gold is when I have self control or have been distracted while playing with friends.
Bronze was good for giving me:
Common level armor mods: Fast recharge is a good one and easy to get.
Plasma pistols: For dealing with the myriad of OP vehicles running around, really good for stopping an early 3 req point warthog rush on A.R.C.
Chaingun turret: This thing only takes 2 req points, and it’s VERY effective early game if used correctly.
