Are big ugly pieces of gray metal really considered upgrades?

im pretty sure all the stuff that are add ons in that non color, ive not used, looking at all the other players seems nobody likes any of the upgrades.

I think it’s because they are designed in an unintuitive way. When you look at how Jorge and Jun have their chest attachments colored with their respective coatings, it makes me thing that attachment color is assigned by the armor coating. This is how Reach handled it. But unfortunately it seems that each attachment has to be assigned colors individual. If that makes sense. Basically every chest would have to be assigned a color by every coating in order for this to work.

Wanna know why? Cos Coatings.
Solution? Remove coatings and let us pick colours.

That’s literally all.

but they are not effected by coatings, they are always gray

They are. Did you read my post? The coating decides what color an attachment is. But each attachment has to be programmed in separately.

They are coatings.
Jorge’s Noble Coating applies colour to the Collar UA piece but unfortunately, you look like Jorge.

Not talking about the Kit, Kits are a whole other deal. This is definitely a coating thing.

I don’t use any chest attachment on my Spartan as it detracts rather than adds in my opinion.

I personally like them, they look cool

no, but guess what? you can buy nicer armor attachments in the store for only 19.99!

343 probably forgot to make the armor attachments work with coatings. Just like they forgot to make the left shoulders of noble team kits have color.

I use only the watchdog coating on my MARK V armor. Its the only one combination that i like. If i had the color scheme possibility of Halo 5, i would use my preferred colors

They need to change the customization system back to one around halo fives where everything is unlock-able and picking your own colours is possible.

Hopefully there will be an update to have Armor Coatings apply to attachments instead of them just being dull-grey.

I hope we get a massive update to the color customization, where we get to set our own colors, but coatings define where the colors we choose apply to the armor. The coating could also change the wear and tear/ texture of the armor

So you choose your colors, and coatings change the patterns

Yes- these chest attachments not being influenced by armor coatings is beyond frustrating.

These upgrades you mention, what do they do exactly? What benefit would I get from having them?

I found the answer you’re looking for:

Make sure you thank the author of that post

Nothing in that link specifies what this would do for the purchaser. What would this do for me if I were to buy it?

It does answer your disingenuous question. I’d engage in discussion about this, but as you know, posting similar things across multiple threads is against the forum rules. Also, I’m not interested in being sucked into your little game.

What game are you referring to? The topic of this thread is about upgrades…I’m just curious as to how these upgrades would impact my gaming experience. What benefit would they confer to the bearer?
