I’ve noticed a big problem (& other people have too)
Did you know That when a bunch of air units charge your Wolverines or Reavers, they all target the same Enemy air unit.
It’s over kill, they waste all their rockets on 1 enemy, Giving enough time for the others to Shellac your AA. (With Vultures it’s a Nightmare )
How to fix this is: AA should target individual targets unless you order them other wise.
Do you think this a problem?

As in it is true in balls of air the AA will target one air unit and even when a unit is red bar the AA will send their whole barrage of missiles to one unit.

That is true, but not the fact that AA doesn’t do their job. Anti Air works pretty effectively at this point.

This thread isn’t about buffing AA, the OP is pointing out that AA naturally focus fire which is stupid. Some of you are so worried they will buff AA that any discussion about it gets shut down.

As to the OP, I agree with you, it’s something I’ve noticed and it is quite odd that AA focus fire on their own (Even after the first barrage). I also think AA are incredibly weak and could us a slight health buff. As for their damage I think it’s in a good spot.

One way to combat the overkill wasting DPS is to increase the radius of missiles that do connect so they damage more targets around the initial impacted one.

I know I’ve mentioned it elsewhere, but proximity fuses for AA missiles would help with both AoE and preventing overkill. I don’t what it would take to implement that, but I think it would at least make AA more consistent.

Okay but if you do that then reduce the damage and be prepared to make more patches after that just to get to where we are now. This game is hard to balance, AA is one of the most balanced things in the game. Now its just Core vehicles glitches/exploits and Leader powers. Change a little at a time so the dev team can finalize the game. I’m sure you have other things that are important unless you love patching.

I agree with an increase of the radius of the missiles, but only if coupled with a proportional damage nerf. The increased radius would help offset the wasted missiles, but leaving the damage as is would make them overkill as AA currently does great damage against air.

Yes AA can and will often overkill, However even with the “Wasted DPS” AA still comes out on top of Air in an almost 1-3 Ratios.
In Short, This isn’t an Issue.

The range of AA needs a buff. They need some sniper-tier range to properly offset air’s superior mobility, otherwise, air will just lock down the map until AA over-extends and then they’ll take a chunk out of your economy.
Further testing only solidifies my opinion on AA’s range needing a buff. Perhaps sniper-tier range is a bit much, but they should at least decently outrange the condor, otherwise it will keep cliff-turtling until the AA breaks enough to just straight-up overwhelm.
