-And my least favorite of late, AR = OP, takes no skill to use.
I refuse to ever use the DMR again, i stopped way back in December and have only been using the BR and AR. I want to see someone take on a DMR with an AR 1v1, first to 100 kills and see who wins. We all know its the DMR. AR is not OP, it does take skill to use. Its not different than the suppressor or the Storm Rifle, they each have similar kill times and I have lost many battles against those weapons.
People on these forums just need a reason to complain.
As long as a weapon functions well in its niche and not as well outside of it, then it’s not OP.
The problem is the DMR has a universal niche and the Boltshot is a one shot kill.
I haven’t seen any tests to demonstrate the power of the AR, but from what I’ve seen, it dominates at close range and sometimes medium range. I personally don’t use it that often so I probably can’t say much about it.
The only weapon that is truly OP is the boltshot. I would say the beam rifle, but that is because of its immense AA/BM. The DMR also has the same problem, meaning it is undeserving of a nerf.
Maybe the AR is OP, but because of its larger reticle, it doesn’t stand a chance outside of CQC.
If i may add, i don’t know what the hell is the deal with the Suppressor, but if their is one weapon, specifically an automatic weapon, that should be buffed up just a bit is that weapon. And the shot spread is horrific to a point i barely use it.
No weapon in this game is “OP.” The DMR and bolthsot are just slightly more useful than the other starting weapons and as such should be treated as power weapons instead of being guns you can start with.
People have complained about the AR since Halo 3. It’s not overpowered, it’s just useful at close range as it should be.
> AR literally takes 0 skill to use. Less than the DMR. You literally just pull the trigger and you get kills. No accuracy or burst fire needed.
Sure, but the AR is only really viable in close range. The automatics are exactly where they should be at the moment, and are actually useful for the first time since Halo 1.
heres what need’s to happen to make halo balanced 2.5 times zoom on the B.R (same as DMR because the kill times on both are basically even (if two people start shooting at the exact same time one with a dmr one with br they’ll trade EVERY time so give the br more range. Boltshot make it so boltshot charge is one shot kill in the head only and drops shields any where else. Increase rate of fire on AR and suppressor so that in close range they beat dmr BR. Make LR reticle a bit smaller so when you aim at the head it actually hit’s. Increase Auto Aim on carbine slighty due to the fact of the 7 or 8 shot kill and their you have it folks balanced halo.
