Are all the Halos just holoclips

Hold up wait right there Agent Locke and Arbiter watching a holoclip of Master chief and arbiter saying some very skeptical things and i quote “You’ll have to do more then walk in his foot steps” while Agent Locke Is watching a video of master chief yes i know this is very Jumpy but it would seem legit because what if agent locke was only doing this to learn how master chief acts and through the halo 5 campaign you have flash backs from what master chief did in the holoclip. I’m just saying if 343 is doing this right now i say they are really stepping up their game on getting people involved into the halo universe. I also believe that agent locke is trying to stop master chief from trying to bring back cortana and accidentally waking up a big -Yoink- alien robot which is stated in an Easter egg in halo 4!Think about it halo fans and search it up i might just be on to something.

Calm down my friend.
What Easter egg?

Well, the Master Chief Collection can technically be seen as records from an in-universe perspective, sort of how like Halo: Reach is a reconstruction of what was thought to have happened during the Fall of Reach. Not sure where you are connecting the fate of Cortana with the Forerunner machine seen in the Halo teaser from last e3 though, might want to elaborate on that more before concluding you are onto something.

As far know, the Master Chief Collection is Thel giving Locke information about the Master Chief. However, while TMCC is just a summary, the games that we had originally played when they originally came out on their originals consoles, those were live on-the-scene canon.

I think what the OP is trying to say is that during Halo 5, we’ll play as Agent Locke in real-time while the Master Chief sequences are really just Locke looking through what Chief was up to between Halo 4 and 5 until it brings you up to speed on what the Chief is up to in real-time, in order to tie Locke and Chief together. As in, the Locke sequences are the current, present time while the Chief sequences lag behind slightly until the timelines intersect in the present.

This may be a little hard to explain.

But I believe the OP is trying to say that for Halo 5, 343 may be trying to convey that the ENTIRE past Halo games (1-4) were being watched by Agent Locke on a hologram as we played them out. Just like in the trailer. As in when we played them, it was past events being watched by Locke and in Halo 5, it is being brought around full circle to what chief is CURRENTLY up to.

So if you can picture it, when we played Halos 1-4, they were all just holograms being studied by Lock and Arbitor to help chief in some way in his current state.

I hope that was explained well.
I did my best!

Am I right OP? lol

That would make sense…if the Master Chief didn’t have a far longer service history than the events of Halo. The Arbiter’s whole speech about seeing his origin would be a bit moot if all Locke is going to study is recent events.

I’m not saying that it might not be presented that way, but if it is then Locke’s missing a great deal of his history…

That is the same thing I thought when I saw the trailer for MCC.
Locke is watching/living holoclips from Jon’s helmet cam.

Though I do feel that we will be playing as MC, not Locke, in Halo 5.

A cool idea would be to have the first level play out as an older mission of chief and blue and as it finishes you see that it was Locke watching archive footage of the mission.

I’d like to know what Easter egg you’re talking about too.

That’s literally what H2A is looking to be.
