Are Achievements map specific?

I was wondering, some of the achievements in Halo Reach came with the Defiant and Anniversary map packs. Are these achievements locked to only being unlocked whilst playing on those maps? As I did the assassination on someone exiting armour lock one on a map on forge world (in matchmaking) and it didn’t unlock. If this is the case I think this is quite unfair and should be changed to being unlocked on any map because noone plays in the anniversary playlist and noone has figured out you can download the map pack for free yet -_-

I WANT MY 100% ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKS.

Ah right so the only way I’ll be able to play these maps is if I get a group of friends to fill up a lobby for me, to which point I will get a credit ban for “cheating”. Literally happened to me the other day because it was the only way to get into an Anniversary playlist.

Well what you do to avoid that is make sure your entire lobby is full, no randoms. Then make sure every player gets at least one kill and no one idles too long. Next have a close ish game and finish the game as intended aka capture the flags or territories you know.

I just play the game with friends. But don’t just sit there get what you need fast while other people are playing the game as it’s intended to do and quickly join them. Only get like an achievement or two per game
