Are 4 bronze req packs better than 1 silver?

Since 4 bronze are the same as 1 silver i was just wondering which is a better route to go?

Buy bronze packs until you stat getting req points back from your packs.
Then buy silvers until you get 3000 rp back from the packs.
Then buy gols until you get 6000 rp back from each pack.

For bronze it all depends on how fortunate you get, I read somewhere that there is roughly an 80% chance that you will get a single permanent unlock of common rarity, so you could open 4 and get 4 unlocks or you could absolutely nothing.

Silver packs on the other hand guarantees you two permanent unlocks of anything from common to rare.

So it’s up to you if you want to try your luck or not, personally I’ve decided against bronze after one too many times of getting nothing.

Personally, I don’t think so. With Bronze only having a chance at a permanent REQ it’s too risky for me to count on in my opinion.

You need to change your opinion, 80% of the time they give a permanent unlock. I personally bought only Bronze packs to unlock all common items then I moved onto Silver. I now only buy gold packs because I have everything possible from Bronze and Silver.

I got all bronzes until I got all of the common items and I’m now doing only silvers.

I buy gold packs and sometimes silver because of the 2 permanent unlocks

Lol it’s definitely not 80% of the time. Even 343 stated there is only “a chance” at getting a permanent unlock. In my experience after trying a load of bronze packs, I just went straight to opening silver packs because I was not getting permanent unlocks even half the time in bronze packs and you get 2 guaranteed in silver packs each time.

The bronze packs are great for getting WZ boosts. Aside from that… I think it’s worth while to just go for silvers for the guaranteed 2 unlocks. Especially for the chance at getting loadout weapons.

But wait a second. bronze are 4x cheaper than silver. you have 1 perma chance to unlock. so if you are getting somewhere near half you are getting about the same chance as a silver pack. but if you do better than you saved.

I’m facing this dilemma now, and I too have opted to skip bronze packs. I’m lucky to get a permanent unlock in 4 packs (so, maybe 25% chance) so I’m better off playing it safe with Silver. I think I purchased 7 bronze packs in a row before getting an unlock at one stage… 80% chance? Yeah right…

I wonder will Silver packs give me the Nadir emblem when I get the last of the common unlocks?

It is not an 80% chance. My experience was closer 40% I think. I went the route of all bronze, then silver, and have moved on to gold packs. I only get Ultra Rare and Legendary unlocks from my gold packs. So I never spend 10k REQ points for things I could have gotten for 5k REQ points.

So it depends on what your goals are, if you want to always unlock something and spend more time and req points overpaying for things you could have gotten in cheaper packs, go ahead and start with whatever packs you want. If you are going for completion or want something specific Legendary piece and want to get to it efficiently, work your way up.

If you are trying to work your way up, just sell back everything from your bronze pack. I usually found if I waited until I could afford 4 packs, I could sell {almost} everything and get a 5th or even 6th pack. Which gives you 1-2 more chances for an unlock.

Ha! Just after I posted before, I tried another couple of bronze packs… Got a “Griffin” emblem on my first pack, then next pack had the 500RP refund in it.
No Nadir emblem was received for the record, and I’ve read elsewhere that a more recent patch is the cause (as it’s a Rare emblem, they’ve moved it to a random Silver REQ unlock). Guess I’m forced onto silver now anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

In my opinion no

From my experience bronze packs aren’t worth buying

I didn’t do any bronze, just silver/gold but was getting req points back without all the mongeese lol. Had to buy a few bronze to finish my collection.
