The round two with protecting the forerunner structure seems near impossible. Has anyone gotten close? You don’t have enough req levels to have any effect and you just keep getting killed instantly. The time is way too much as well. Anyone else having the same experience? Doesn’t seem like should be a round 2 lol
I continue to get this as round 2, and I’ve yet to get close to winning. Longest survived is to about 2 minutes.
Call random 3 vehicle and pray for a wraith
We had 2 ghosts up there and everyone else on foot. The enemy barely hurt it.
Yup ghosts are the way to go especially if round one is defend the armory as it’s possible to get req 4 to call in any ghost variant or use scout warthogs. Then study their spawns by the bright slipspace rupture and splatter away.

I’ve have been trying my best too get ghosts, but my team never seems to help out enough. Especially when they get a needle hog to go against prometheans XD SMH
Yes, it’s quite easy as well. My advice…
Ghosts
Gravity Hammer or Energy Sword
Grenades
Splinter Cannons
BRs with a decent aim
Plasma Casters
If you aren’t at req 3 by that time, you’re probably doing something wrong. Kill as many things as possible during the first round and attack as a team.
I’m guessing you’re at REQ Lvl 2-3 by the time Round 2 begins. You’ve got some options although some may not be viable depending on what you’re teammates are doing:
Ghosts/Warthogs, splattering can kill crawlers and soldiers fairly quickly, it’s also pretty expendable if you’ve plenty of Scout hogs to waste, don’t use mongooses. You can also sit back and use the Chaingun on the warthog, and if you have ONI or Sword Needler Hog available, use those.
Battle Rifle spam, grab Extended mag, Patrol Case armour mod and spam the soldiers and crawlers down, prioritise the Soldier Captains (the ones carrying splinter cannons) as they’ll screw your teammates over the most with their BS AOE damage. Plasma Caster is also an effective weapon, but not desirable since it runs out of ammo too fast
CQB combat, I know not advised, but due to Black Eye being activated round 2, melee is now a better option. Options for weapons include Suppressors, Shotguns, Needlers and Energy Swords (and all their REQ variants). Do NOT use boltshots or assault rifles against the Prometheans, they are garbage against them, especially on Legendary-Mythic.
Also if possible, try and grab the dropped splinter grenades as they are effective for area denial and use cover and thruster evade as best as possible to avoid damage, I know the Prometheans have BS homing on their weaponry, unfortunately it’s something you’ll have to deal with, especially with the Black Eye skull.

Mythic is all about dragging out Round 1 as long as is possible. Rather than jumping in a scout hog and trying to mow down the boss asap, kill every single enemy that spawns, until no more do, the chop the bosses heads off. If you blow through Round 1, nobody is going to have decent enough Req energy to handle the tougher crowds. Really, it’s all rounds you should be doing that, but the first round is the most critical, and has the most cushion to it. Too many folks dive into MWZFF treating it like heroic: spray and pray, literally run each other over to be the first one to kill the boss with your hog, etc. A little bit of strategy and patience goes an incredibly long way.
Really, the best advice I can give you is just try to get to level 3 as fast as possible. Level 2 will give you some stuff to work with like Splinter cannons and other stuff, but it doesn’t give you weapons or vehicles with a good explosive or precision potential (yes, IK carbine is there, but I think we can all agree that a BR > a carbine). I’ve heard talk of people going straight for larger enemies (Elites/Soldiers) only, no bosses or lower infantry. From this talk, I’ve heard that these kills reward more progress toward your REQ level than others, some not providing anything at all. I’ve yet to test this or hear of any counterarguments, but if it is true, I implore you to try it. Otherwise, that’s all I can give you. Just try to get to level 3 fast so you can get access to more vehicles and explosive weaponry for larger crowds of enemies. Wish you luck.

Same here, me and another guy mowed them down outside, and everyone else took care of the stragglers
The point of mythic firefight is to be difficult and coordinate as a team
Isn’t that the point? Big challenge, big reward?
The only problem I have is every other game no one will be able to call in any reqs

Yeah this prob isn’t the best weekend to try mythic. With the req issues.

It has made for interesting games of regular war zone though
