I think this will be an anti-armor weapon that packs a punch, but at the same time isn’t as powerful as the gauss turret. I am guessing this weapon will have a two second charge before the bolt fires. Overheating will probably take place for like a second, then you can charge it again. What do you guys think?
Also, this weapon may mark more new UNSC weapons on the way.

I have wanted a Railgun since Halo 2.
I’m thinking that this thing may be a replacement for the Spartan Laser. It will be accurate and will have heavy hitting-power. If this thing works like the MAC gun at the end of Reach, it will also require a second or so of charging.
If it’s as good as the real thing you should be able to kill a tank from across the other side of the map. I wonder if it’s like the railgun from Brute Force

I think of it more as an Assault Rifle type weapon. More powerful than the Assault Rifle, but fires slower. It looks about the same size as the AR.
I think it will pretty much be a smaller weaker version of the spartan laser, will fire faster but will also be a lot weaker. Just my opinion though.

It fires high speed HE (High explosive)rounds. So it is basically a direct fire grenade launcher. And it means MC is probably going to be taking on some big dudes. Like mech type big dudes.

Much more Powerful, capable of destroying a vehicle with one hit and then hitting someone behind the vehicle before it finally hits a wall or solid surface

No one is really sure what, this is or replaces / does …
But looks fun
My guess is it’s replacing the spartan laser, and I would be happy with that, a rail gun is much more human IMO, and it will most likely be a more powerful splaser, much more hard hitting.

read up on rail guns…it’l e nothing like that whatsoever
looks pretty good to me. probably just acts as a heavy duty anti-material rifle for punching holes through thick armour; replacement for the Spartan laser probably.
I think it’ll be freakin’ awesome to use.
