arbiter's return

do you think the arbiter and the elites on his side will come back to help or add least see him one again?

I don’t think 343i will kill off Thel 'Vadam in a novel, he’s too important of a character. He will probably make one last in game appearance in Halo 5 and die.

Or I could be wrong and he’ll die in the last book of the Kilo Five Trilogy.

If the UNSC is to have Elite allies he’d be it, as well as Rtas 'Vadum.

I’d murder Traviss if that happened.

I want to see Chief and Arby reunite once more!

I hope we don’t see the Arbiter in-game again.

Wth is wrong with you…
I mean that in the nicest possible way.

I’m sure we’ll see him again and he will probably die in heroic fasion by saving the Chief’s life… and ill cry…

I don’t see how that can happen after what ONI did.

Thats if he finds out. Though he may understand why we did what we did. ONI did it out of fear because they didn’t want the Sangheili to rise up again and try to kill us… again. He may be understanding of that, though still quite pissed, but not to the break off all ties point or declare war stage.

There’s nothing wrong with me.

The Arbiter has his own problems to deal with, while in the Reclaimer trilogy there are more important issues to be adressed; Forerunners, Precursors, The Flood etc. Bringing in more characters only leaves less room for the development of these new aspects, aspects which are far more important and interesting than a “hey ittz d arby. he waz in the udder game so he shud b in dis 1 2oo! becus i is simplistic + cant comprehind that fictional universe is bigger than 1 small set of peepz”, scenario.

He is on about the infinity nuking a continent of Sanghelios, one whose population was mostly for-arbiter at a ratio of about 80%. If I were him I would have ordered the destruction of a human continent as penance.

Is that an actual statistic from the novel?

personally i believe that Thel and other Elites will side with you and be allies in-game, while your also fighting Storm and their Elites.

> Is that an actual statistic from the novel?

Nope, but it is confirmed thus far that the SoAT are the only group opposed to the arbiter within the continent states borders. Secondly the order is said to be “quaintly small” in one of, if not both of the kilo five books. Again in glasslands the populace is shown to be mostly “we just want to get on with our lives” until Philips shows his arum skills.

Unless otherwise contradicted in web-canon or the last kilo five book the 80% pro-arbiter statement is probably heavily exaggerating the strength of the servants. But since they had five frigates from across the planet I am reluctant to say that they hold anything less than 20% of the states population even though it is almost definitely less. But it is stated in TW that 'Ontom had the least amount of in-fighting and rebel action. Most of the servants militia arrived from rural areas like 'Mdama.

I would also like to say for the record that the storm are most likely atheists if they are indeed led by Jul 'Mdama like the novel indicates.

Atheists that believe the Didact is a living god… Wut???

I didn’t write the novel traviss did but personally if 343 just turned round and said that these elites had no connection to the covenant but you have to read the novels to find out the full story as to why; it would seem much more forced than saying “these elites still hate hummies and are looking for one of their gods”.

According to the Encyclopedia, pretty much every Sangheili that served in the Covenant came from Sanghelios. This means that Sangheili colonies would not know of the Covenant, only the reverence of the Forerunners. And without the San 'Shyuum to limit their knowledge, they probably discovered that the Didact exists and that he hates humanity.
