Arbiter :}

The lack of Arby missions ruined Halo 3’s campaign for me.

But I don’t think that we will see the Arbiter anytime soon, I am thinking for of the sort of Halo 5.

> I can tell you with confidence that the reason people dislike Reach is much more related to multiplayer than campaign.

Yeah about that…
Are you forgetting that Reach’s campaign craps all the Fall of Reach and Ghost of Onyx or something?

OT: I wouldn’t mind seeing Arby, I’m just not sure how he pans into Halo4 and all.
I mean Arby’s got to rebuild/keep to gather his people, not save an enemy.

I want him in the game, but as far as having him playable goes…idk. I’m not the bothered tbh. If it’s there I’ll be happy, if not…doesn’t matter.

I’d love to see the Arbiter return and maybe play as him in CoOp but H4 is supposed to be about the Chief, so nope to your idea

i would really like to know more about Thel and see if they are friends or just companions, if Thel is a friend he will be looking for John, in halo 3 they didnt communicate much so we didnt know the personal feelings of each other like do they trust each other? are they willing to help each other?

I would love to see The Arbiter return, elites are awesome and I was very happy when I could play as him in Halo 2. But I also want more MC in Halo 4, I just want the feeling back as when I first played Halo: CE and Halo 2. (When I look back to Halo 3 I am a little bit disappointed, the campaign felt too hasty). The Arbiter can return in the last few missions in Halo 4 and then play a big part in Halo 5 or something. I definitely don’t want the elites gone, they are the most awesome badass alien race ever. So I was sad when I never saw them in Halo 3, only in 2 missions for a few minutes…

i dont think were getting a covie campaigne for halo 4 because its starting a new trilogy and the game is suposed to talk about master chief. besides the covie’s suck i love killing them.

I’d love to take up the role of Arbiter again. To me the Master Chief is a critical character but he doesn’t define Halo to me, the Halo universe is much bigger than the Chief. To play as the Arbiter and find out what happens to him and the Sanghelli would be amazing. To be honest I’d like to see what happens to everyone involved with the Halo games, the Rookie, Buck and co, Jun, Half-Jaw, Hood…

Much as I thought it was a great idea in H2, the main hype around h4 is John’s return. Playing as another character for some of the game might not sit well with a lot of fans.

Maybe in H5. Bornstellar-Didact, plz.

> > First of all, the “USMC” (United States Marine Corps) does not exist in Halo. It’s the “UNSC” (United Nations Space Command). Wow.

> > Second, I dislike your idea. I want to play as Chief and Chief only in H4. I don’t want to be playing the rescuer when the person who needs “rescuing” is a hyper lethal, extremely experienced super soldier who already saved all sentient life in the galaxy once before.

> And that is the exact reason why people didnt like halo 2, halo ODST, or halo reach. They are too stuck up with master cheif to see a good idea when it hits them in the face.

> To OP, sounds really good to me, but i think you should say that for halo 5, as its likely halo 4 is already plotted out.

This. No one appreciated the idea of your own spartan in campaign, everyone was all I WANNA PLAY AS THE CHIEF NO!

If the Arbiter is in the game, it’ll be interesting to see how they do it. No one knows how long the Chief was in the cryo tube before he 'wakes up" in the teaser trailer. How much time has passed? Do the covenant still have an Arbiter? If so is it the same elite that became the Arbiter in Halo 2? I don’t know about playing as the Arbiter, but I think it would be cool if he made an appearance.

Give me the chief only please!

That sounds cool, but it’s a little too late in development to add something as large as that. :frowning:

Halo 4 takes place in 2553.

Halo 3’s Voi Memorial scene takes place on 3 March 2553.

I think it would be something special if John and Thel reunited later in the trilogy.

Refresh my memory, please. Someone mentioned John as the Arbiter’s enemy. I am pretty sure the Covenant and human race set aside their differences. Hell, the Covenant help SAVE earth, for Christ’s sake. If all they were worried about were the brutes, they would have focused on the brutes, rather than take out the brutes AND help with earth. I dunno, I could be remembering completely wrong. But, I haven’t played Halo 3 in ages, maybe I iwll go back and play it.

Regardless, I agree this game is supposed to be about John. And, as much as I would like to have Arbiter missions, I would settle with Arbiter as a Co-op player. But, I really really really want a cameo appearance in the story line. I REALLY wanna know what becomes of him and the covenant. Do they solidify their allegiance with the human race? Or does it turn out that they never planned to have peace, but to over throw their own traitors? Do they have a mutual interest in John, and want to help retrieve him for earth’s defense? Or do they still see him as the demon-threat they once saw him, and want to hunt him down?

Now, I think THAT would add a hell of a lot of depth into the story, imo.

Well, since the Covenant has been confirmed to be in Halo 4, I see no reason why the Arbiter wouldn’t.

I beg to differ. Kiki Wolfkill confirmed its been 5 years making the year 2558 if Im correct.

OT: As for the arbiter, it would be cool to see him return at some point in this new trilogy, but there’s absolutely no reason to go out of the way to make the game about the arbiter or even have him as a main character. It’s a new story, johns story, not the arbiters. I highly doubt the story consists of the arbiter trying to find the chief.

I was just brainstorming. I know it’s about the Chief. But, Arby is just such a badass character.

bump.

Let’s keep this going!

Halo 4 takes place five years after the events of Halo 3, Kiki said it in an interview.
