Arbiter Thel'Vadam

There has been alot of discussion about what people want, hate or love about Halo 5: Gaurdians… which to be honest has been an overwhelming mess of vague insults and not really a debate… yet this is something to do with the story.
Thel 'Vadam is the Ambassador of the ‘Swords of Sangheilios’, Kaidon of State Vadam of Sanghelios and Arbiter of the Sangheili; he is one, if not, the most paramount Sangheili in the Halo universe… it is confirmed that he will serve a germane role in Halo 5: Gaurdians, assisting the Spartan-IV Lieutenant Commander Jameson Locke, to locate Spartan-II Master Chief Petty Officer John-117…

  • [Query] Will the Arbiter be playable in Halo 5: Guardians? If not, will he still serve a battlefield role as a non-playable character?- [Query] Will the Arbiter have his personal Type-1 Energy Sword, the Prophet’s Bane?

If I remember right, Locke will be playable. Having 3 playable characters would just be odd.

Actually there are already 3 playable characters assuming Locke is playable. MC Hammer, Locke, and your Spartan 4 from Spartan Ops/Multiplayer.

Then let me rephrase that: Having 3 playable characters in the campaign would be odd.

I dont know. Itd be cool to have a split campaign again. If you saw the prologue and epilogue. Locke had his Spartans and the arbiter had his elites with him. Itd be interesting from a story standpoint how they play it out. And I am genuinely excited.

odst pulled it off alright imo, they had like what 5 or six playable right?

This is how I see it happening sadly, John-117 and Spartan Blue Team… each with a unique campaign-only spartan ability; Locke and 3 player-customized spartans… Arbiter and Elites are NPC Allies.

Having two was odd back in Halo 2 but damn, it worked.

Very odd.

Since Elites are friends of humans again, i think they should be playable in MP. i don’t care if the multiplayer is supposed to be a training program. That’s stupid, its multiplayer, and honestly if it is a training a program, they should still include elites.

The problem wit the Elites is that in multiplayer they were too hard to head shot, because their head was in a different place.

To answer your questions:
Thel 'Vadam is confirmed to be in Halo 5: Guardians in some way. It is unknown if he will be playable with Master Chief and Locke. The Arbiter will use the Prophet’s Bane, as it is his personal energy sword.

They were hard to headshot from behind.

This was rectified in Reach onward by making Elites stand upright. Not an excuse anymore.

I hope arbiter will have at least some signifagnce in gameplay or story, which im sure he will

I wouldn’t count on Thel being playable.

don’t know
