I’m down with that particular clown. In fact, I’m down for anything related to H2 days lol! At the least, maybe we can play coop Campaign as Chief, and up to 3 Arbiters, like in H3 as well!
I’d be down for that, but what little evidence we have so far suggests this won’t happen.
If you remember those days when H2 launched, the Arbiter being a playable character was rather controversial. Over time people grew to love the Arbiter as a character and wanted to play as him, but when H2 first launched, there was a lot of criticism over splitting the campaign between our beloved Chief and Arby.
I’d love it. Speaking for my friends and myself, we thought it was incredibly cool getting to play as someone who was in a sense the Elite equivalent of Chief. Their relationship with each other and how their story intertwined made it fun.
Of course, H3 is still a masterpiece, but I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed when I learned that Arby wouldn’t be a playable character when playing solo.

Of course was expecting more of him in Halo 5
I would be down for some missions as Arbiter but I don’t think there should be overwhelming amount of those levels.
If we got Arbiter missions in Infinite as often as we got Chief missions in Halo 5 I’d definitely be down for that (1 mission for every 3 or 4 Chief missions would be cool). However, 343 might be putting all the focus on Chief just because of all the backlash from Halo 5. The poorly executed character of Spartan Locke might have ruined the Arbiter coming back and being playable for a long time unfortunately, but who knows?
I would not want that.
You can’t really compare it to H2, the plot was entirely different. The reason for Arbiter beeing a playable character in H2 was it to show the player the insights of the covenant. We were supposed to witness the tension between the races, the hierarchy & the great schism etc. by a first person perspective. All of this stuff would’ve been way harder to portray through the eyes of Chief.
I doubt that this concept would work in Infinite. I mean, technically it always could, but it just doesn’t add anything valuable to the plot and it would just serve as Fan Service in my eyes.
However, I’d love to see a spinoff Game focused on the Arbiter. But I’m not into the whole current “cleaning up the rest of the covenant factions” plot. I am much more interested in something like a prequel in regards to Thel Vadam. I’m all for a Singleplayer-only Game with a very long campaign, focusing on his past as a Shipmaster / Supreme Commander.
Even though it may be a bit controversial, the UNSC / Banished would serve as your main villains. Especially the banished still look like a Afterthought - if I’m not mistaken, they’ve been never mentioned prior to HW2. So, a Prequel with Thel Vadam as the protagonist (or even Rtas Vadum) hunting down Atriox would give both sides more background & context. Additionally to that, it would even setup interesting plot points for future Halo Games, since both of them are still alive.
How about an expansion pack or spin off release with an arbiter focus campaign? Doom Eternal’s DLC has been confirmed to be new single player content where you play as a different character in the universe, if that ends up being successful, maybe 343 and MS will think about doing the same…
Forget Arby, 343 should show some balls and give us Palmer missions.

Idk I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aleins and doesnt afraid of anything
As much as I would love to play as Thel again, I don’t think it will happen. That said; if 343i wanted to do some campaign DLC where you play as him, that would be cool.
even if we don’t play as him, I hope he’s in the game in some capacity.

That would be awesome. Obviously, the main campaign will focus on John and Cortana, but side missions with The Arbiter or Elites would be perfect.

Would be better if 343 add a dlc campaing with a few arby missions

Yeah Locke’s story was tragic I wish Fireteam Majestic was the main cast for H5 instead of Osiris. I would of loved to see Thorne once again.

Yes I would love that it would make a change than just playing a Spartan all the time. I kinda hope arbiter kills locke.
