So we’ve all seen the new epic trailer by now. When I saw it I pretty much -Yoink- bricks; but I couldn’t help but wonder that, if they showed the Arbiter instead of chief, the trailer could of been better. And by that I mean, the same exact trailer but with the Arbiter. Now I’m not some diehard Arby fan, but it was just a thought that came to mind. Think about it, the cloak would of been more fitting, and I’m sure it would of brought joy to most Halo fans to know that Arby is still around. Not to mention how badass it would of been to see him pull of his cloak and activate his energy sword, after that warrior sphinx(or whatever it is)did that energy discharge thing. But for all we know the Arbiter isn’t even in the game, I’m just saying hypothetically;do you think the trailer would of been better overall with the Arbiter instead of Chief?
I see where you’re coming from, but I think that would’ve led us to believe it was a Halo spin-off instead of a sequel to Halo 4
Good point i think arbiter would look badass with a cloak lol like a story set in arbiters point of view when he encounter the prometheans for the first time.
God knows the cloak would actually make sense.
The only part that wouldn’t make sense is holding on to Cortana’s AI Chip, but yeah, it would’ve been cool to see the Arbiter instead.

No.
No. Simply because of Halo 4s ending I find this trailer to be much better with the Chief. Seeing him traveling alone on foot through a harsh climate, in possibly damaged armor considering the cracks in his visor. And then at the end as he clutches Cortana’s empty data chip. Is he searching for her? Has he found a way to bring her back? There’s a lot for me to ponder from such a short clip.
I find this trailer as it is leaves a bigger impact than seeing Arby in his place, with the only difference being him activating his energy sword instead of clutching a chip. I mean it would be cool, but that’s about it. My point of view at least.
I thought it was Thel all the way up until Obi-Won revieled himself to be MC. I really wanted to see the good covie side of things this go around. Or at minimum a 2part campaign simular to H2. But understand the good covies will need to be explained to new folks. But given the current track record with diadact, storm, the harvester, ect. I`ll say that that war spinx was epic maybe the new scarab battles? Better yet scarab vs harvester vs spinx battle.(Id so try to win that one on foot.)
Should Microsoft release an X-1 that can be played perminately offline like a real game system id get it solely to play Halo like i did the xboxes before it.
But then again H5 better be E3 H2 demo good at everything.
the arbiter is still out there and im sure we haven’t seen the last of him. he wasn’t in halo 4 because that was a reminisce of the covenants army, which the
arbiter isn’t a part of.
though im sure the arbiters army and UNSC are at some mutual pact, the arbiter doesn’t care much for the UNSC because he is no longer with chief or Johnson.
That is a very interesting take on the trailer.
Would really like to see the two pair up again and Keith David’s voice is epic!
With Chief, I thought the trailer looked marvelous.
With Arby, I’d have thought the trailer was breathtaking.
There’s something that this trailer does that makes me believe that Chief is the better choice, between the two. It is much more surprising to see MJOLNIR beneath that robe, and interesting – the questions are obvious at this point.
But Thel 'Vadam, we can expect beneath that cloak. He lives a tumultuous life, and his culture is prone to the “spirit walk” mentality.
So, I agree that it makes more sense based on what we know to see Thel. But I think it’s more interesting to see such a contrast against what we know.
Imagine a mixture of both Arby and chief. Both walking through the desert. Both on opposite ends, when the ground rumbles and the massive forerunner reveals itself, blowing off the cloak, or something alternate for the arbiter. Chief clutches the chip and Arbiter clutches the sword (not actually opening it.) The creature flies up into the air and chief and Arbiter see each other for the first time in years. The creature crashes back to the ground and their line of sight is cut off. The end.
Arbiter needs to come back. He was amazing.

Ok, now that sounds a little to much like Star Wars with the Arbiter.

Freaking epic idea!

Holy -Yoink- your right, that would of been amazing.
But on a side note, I could see why people choose chief. Seeing Cortana’s chip does have a bigger emotional impact, than the Arbiter would have.
Nobody wanted to play as an elite bungie was going to add the Arbiter in halo 3 as a main playable character but the backlash they said forced them to remove that idea altogether.
Yeah, in all honesty, the Master Chief is getting kind of boring. We need another switch in perspective like Halo 2 did to freshen things up.
