Hellooo!
Anyone in here?
(^_^);
I’m looking for some help or guide or just tips for becoming better with Arby.
My playstyle isn’t too exotic, it’s usually the double Summit or Scarab on Exile. Usually only playing 3v3. My problems arise when I’m confronted with like six or more Scorpions which just shred my Banshees despite them being air units. =/
At one instance, there was an army of Gauss Hogs annihilating my Banshees, the flak bombs just didn’t hit the always-moving Hogs. (-_-)"
So, what am I missing? Should I try to prevent my enemy from building Scorpions in the first place by rushing with two Banshees or so? Sounds like a bad idea in 3v3… Should I tech more and upgrade to rapid fire faster instead of massing Banshees? Should I throw in a Hall instead of the second Summit for Hunters?
Oh, yes, and I’m thankful for every bit of advice, not just for the scorproblem!
d(^.^)
I know, it’s hard to give general tips, especially without having a gameplay vid from me, but I hope some veteran is still here and can share a bit wisdom!
(^_-)
Thanks in advance!

First off, lock your base. The enemy will send a scout to see what units your building. With your base locked he cant see that and he cant anticipate your stratagy. Then upgrade your base to a Citadel. Now build supply warehouses. A lot of Supply Warehouses. A Temple, and a Barracks or whatever the Covenant’s version of the Barracks is. Now your base is set up. If I recall the Covenant bases have 7 spots so you should have 1 Age of Reclaimation in the very back, 1 Barracks and 5 Supply Warehouses. Now start building Hunters and nothing else. While your Hunters are being built send your ghost to check out the base you want to focus on. Also check the roster to see what characters the enemy is playing as. If you see Forge, expect Grizzlys. Now use your resources to purchase upgrades for the hunters. 30/30 Hunters? Good, you’re set to go. Unlock your base and rush the enemy. Be sure your hunters are fully upgraded or you could be decimated.
Make sure if you have a mic to be in constant communication with your team. So they know what you plan to do and they can back you up accordingly. Also try to snag all the rebel bases that you can. That way if the rush fails you will have more then one base to fall back on. If your teammates are humans then ask them to call in air strikes, disruption bombs etc.
There is one last thing you should know. The Arbiter’s special ability is OP as hell. Press Y during your attack and flick the right stick around to deal even more damage.
The Hunter rush is one of the most successful stratagies I have used. Done right, it is a game winner for sure.
I hope this helps bro.
I’ll try this out man, thank you!

Been experimenting a bit yesterday. Hall (infantry) and Summit (air) was a pretty decent combo. Hunters for vehicles, Vampires for air, Arby for infantry. I know it’s a bit suboptimal to spec into two types of units, but I just can’t rely on my team mates to build the proper counter units. =/
I also played UNSC after a long while again, and MAN is the UNSC OP! Scorpions shred everything, bases - even shielded - are no match and if the enemy has a superior army, there are two counter units available in the same building. That’s not even remotely fair… =/
