Arbiter Hack and Slash Game.

Anyone who was played halowars would remember playing as Arby jumping all over the place hacking away at infantry, tanks and even jumping on air units, slashing away at the driver.

So how cool would it be if they made it into a proper game where you play as the first arbiter who refuses to join the covanent like in halo legends and mows them all down with two energy swords. The best thing is though 343 wouldn’t need to make this, they could hire platinum games studios to produce it. They made metal gear rising, bayoneta, madworld, vanquish and the wonderful 101 so you know they are good at making insanely fun hack and slash games

Properly exucuted, this could actually work. As a matter of fact, with how Halo 4 turned out, I’d be much more happy if 343i concentrated more on expanding the games to more genres and different types of games. I’m neither happy with 343i’s interpretation of the Halo formula, nor am I happy with the post-war universe due to issues with certain characters and events and so on. That is to say, I’m not really interested in the main series anymore, at least if it continues to the direction it’s headed.

However, what I would be interested in is games in different genres, even different kinds of shooters, and games about times before the main series. I’d like to see games I can’t blame for “not being enough like Halo”, because they’re not even supposed to.

So, I’m all for projects like this, Halo Wars, and Spartan Assault. Even if they’re just small side projects, more variety would be nice. I still want to play Halo, but only as long as it diverts me away from the problems I have with the current direction.

I sort of like the new post-war addition to the universe as it opens up opportunities like elites, brutes and humans making a sort alliance like In mass effect. They had to introduce us to this new universe, like what CE did and then expand apon it all in the sequel. The story was really good in halo 4 just the level design was bad.

They don’t need to just create FPS games, making different game genres can attract a lot more people into the halo franchise. Halo wars sort of proved that they can do more with the franchise

Also If they did make a game like this I hope they have epic boss battles like in the god of war series

My answer is very simple;

343i contacts Valhalla Game Studios and Frank O’Connor says to Tomonobu Itagaki, “Halo meets Ninja Gaiden, starring an Arbiter from eons past. Can you dig it?”

And Mr. Itagaki says

Nah this is why you need platinum games to make it

Best Wii game ever.

I think an Arbiter Hack and Slash would be fun and have an interesting story as well. The only thing I don’t like about Hack and slashes (for Xbox that is) they sometimes have such hard achievements.

Xbox one gives you achievements every second for just breathing, you get netflix achievements for pete sake xD

So it would be nice not to get achievement for once surprisingly lol

Also I still can’t believe mad world is a wii game it’s more violent than god of war

What else would make it cool is if you can have a squad of loyal elites that you can upgrade and provide with different weaponry so can they have different roles and if a squad member dies you have to get a new a member to replace them.

Well Spartan assault was successful in my opinion so, open doors!

The Halo franchise is like the Mario the franchise but Microsoft’s and it would be nice if they expanded the genres a bit

So keturah do you like the idea?

I found this and it could give you a better idea of a halo hack and slash game lol

That would be awesome. Another things that spring to mind: The arbiter in halo legends  It would definetly be a buy

That’s what I’m saying they could show how the arbiter became a mark of shame and they could also have a multiplayer mode too.

I totally agree with this kind of transaction. I’d play this game to the depths of its coding!

How a fast pace halo game should be!

I’m all for it.

If the game has terminals it’d be a nice touch for those terminals to have the same art style as The duel.

Although story wise there’s so much they can do. How about rather than just one Arbiter we have the game based on many different Arbiters? We can start with the first Arbiter but who was the first Arbiter? It’d interesting indeed if that the Arbiter existed since before the rings went off and the armor was found once again centuries later and we could learn pretty much the whole history of the Arbiter along with a lot of other things.

Beginning with where the armor came from, when it was made and by who.

It’d be really cool if the armor was originally a gift from the Forerunners and that every Arbiter armor set ever made actually had a wireless transceiver infused in the special metal it’s made from and for centuries the memories and experiences of every Arbiter were being uploaded to a Forerunner data base and the Campaign is told through the eyes of Thel who has gained access to this data base and is re-living the experiences of all the past Arbiters. But now I’m just getting fan-fictiony on you guys.

But there are so many ways 343 can go with just how the armor was made.

Then there’s the many stories of how the Sangheili fared in the Forerunner days. Their major historical achievements, first contact with other races, the formation of their original government, the wars they fought in including what they did during the Flood war and the story of how they were indexed.

Then after the rings go off and the Sangheili have to start all over again we can learn the story of how the armor was once again found and we can learn about what the Sangheili achieved before they joined the Covenant.

Then once we get into the Covenant era we can learn more about how the Sangheili joined the Covenant and the Grunt rebellion and the taming of the Hunters.

Then we can learn about some unknown Arbiters that fought during the Human Covenant war.

A really cool theme would be if that with every new Arbiter that Thel experiences life as teaches him a new lesson about becoming a better leader and making Sanghelios strong again. But there I go again writing my story.

There could be a Forerunner era Arbiter that helped form a united Sangheili government. Thel could use this knowledge to help unit his people.

What about an Arbiter that began life designing and building Star ships? Thel knowing that would definitely be useful.

And what about an Arbiter that used to be farmer? Or a doctor, or a politician? Because this Sangelios is before the rings went off it could mean that Sangheili society could’ve been completely different meaning that Thel can be put in an environment in which he can learn a lot of skills that his people desperately need.

The Arbiter during the Grunt rebellion can reinforce the ideal that all sentient species should be treated equally. Thel already knows this but it’ll be helpful none the less.

An Arbiter that fought during the Human-Covenant war can teach him that he shouldn’t put too much faith in humanity or even better teach him the distinction between ONI and the rest of Humanity.

Ok! I’ve gone way overboard! I don’t even know how this would work game play wise and this would probably be better served as a book or a comic but I’ve spent half an hour typing that so it’s staying. If the the campaign were to even come close to something like this it’d extraordinary.

So yeah I’d love a game like this. There’s a lot of potential fun game play wise and story wise it can go in so many directions.

This vid will back my point of why Platinum Games should make a Arby hack and slash
